leave them be. I tried to keep down the frizzies with a crochet hook and they came back when I washed my hair. Not worth the time.

    crocheting weakens dreads.

When you pull the loose hair through the dread you can damage hundreds of other hairs. Weakening them

One thing I've discovered is that if you have length (you started your dreads after your hair was longer) that the frizz allows for dreads to stay out of your face with no hat/hair-tie/doo-rag/whatever.

The little frizzies cling to each other and I can swing the lock in front out of my face, and they kind of lay on the top or around the sides. I realized today that once these things fully lock, those frizzies will go away, and I might have locks in my face requiring effort to keep them back.

I'm almost at one month, and I never thought about the fact that I might actually miss frizz in the future!!! But at 1 month, I can tell you I have a lot of frizz. Just have faith and patience...

crochet hooks really damage ur dreads. Try getting rid of frizz with a needle and string instead. That's how i do it, and i break more hairs while separating than by this method.

My dreads are nearly at 3 months, the thing im really sick of is idiotic people who dont know squat about locks and they say "ohh theyre coming undone, ohh theyre hell messy, eww" its like a never ending battle to try and explain to people its NATURAL!

Thanks for the help guys! peace

crochet them if they are such a problem for you. Before some time i was obsessed with crocheting and all, but now i haven`t done anything to my dreads for some months, im just to lazy

i think the popular response would be "just leave them alone"
i like what soaring eagle said about dreadies being over-critical of their dreads cuz they see their dreads up close

yeahp, i've been crocheting my dreads ever since i got them, wanted to keep it neat and all that, but i stopped a few months ago and realised the frizzies took care of themselves LOL, so i just leave it the heck alone
