Lately, as my psychic knowledge has been increasing, I have been experiencing a strange pressure in my frontal lobe. It's nothing like a headache or migrane. Its just...there. Like a awareness of a separate force...I was wondering if this might be an attribute of my third eye or sixth chakra opening. It feels like its just at the place where the third eye is located. I haven't seen much of these types of reports but I am curious whether anyone else has experienced such physical byproducts of meditation. If not, maybe I have a tumor or something. Better to catch it early, I suppose. thanks
Well....I'm certainly not an authority on the subject, but I think there are all sorts of physical manifestations that go hand in hand with opening your chakras or removing a block...
I frequently have various sensations - warmth, vibrations, sometimes discomfort and even pain - at various chakra points, but never at the "third eye" chakra. It certainly seems possible, based on my experiences. I'm no medical expert, but from what I do know, I don't think you would feel pressure on your frontal lobe from a tumor. Of course, you would probably LIKE the sensation to be a symptom of third-eye opening, wouldn't you? But just because there might be wishful thinking involved doesn't mean it isn't true.
It's not unpleasant....its just unexpected. It just kinda feels like someone is constanty massaging above my browline lol. Thank you for the moral support. I was scared at first that something might be wrong with me. I will continue my practices and look forward to further development.
yes i do know what you are talking about. it is a pressure a little above and between your eye brows. this feels really comfortable and sometimes it can feel warm too. i like the feeling. everytime i meditate i get that pressure around my forehead. it feels great and i think that you are going somewhere with your meditation. i myself dont know what it does but i have experienced it many times and i read on alot of forums that it is pretty common
that's very good news garbageboy! i am very excited to see where these spiritual manifestations will take me
well you have to put time into it. you'll realize things through synchronicities and dreams. you'll understand when the time comes. its very interesting and somtimes things happen and its seems to be coincidence
I know this is a terribly old thread, but has any light recently been shed on this phenomena? I'm experiencing almost precisely what you're describing, and it's usually when I see something I think is completely ridiculous, or when i make some kind of connection of synchronicity or coincidence. Very awesome experience and would love to figure out how to cultivate it.
As a child I believed that my exam performance was improved by wearing certain socks. As a teenager I believed that my body felt different depending on where the planets were. As a young adult I managed to conjure all kinds of maladies and sensations which were not really there, even leading to agorophobia and a complete loss of a healthy life. It didn't take a doctor to cure me. Once I learned to think more logically it all just vanished, because it had never existed. Your thoughts are powerful, but not in the way you might suspect. You're focussing on a certain spot on your head and telling yourself something's happening there. Of course it feels funny.
in a spirit of play , you might see if when you get that sensation to move it about your brain . it's just interesting , and good exercise . ridiculous is ok .
It is probably a tumour. NOPE! Just kidding! I use to get that sensation when I was a kid all the time. My Aunt agreed that it was just my third eye. To me it feels like a flower opening in between my eyes and when I'm in the presence of a powerful force it tingles. It's the same kind of tingle you get down your spine, only softer and more gentle. Is that what it feels like for you?
Hey - thought I should share too. I am also feeling this sensation - it's pretty constant - have been feeling it for q few hours today. I started Meditating about a month ago, and I have progressed so much since then. I meditate twice daily and also go to sleep with a hypntherapy audio session. My interpretation of this feeling is that I've worked out my frontal lobe and it's not used to it and is making some sort of feeling for me.
