I do not think you know what an oxymoron is Oxymoron: A rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined, as in a deafening silence and a mournful optimist.

you sir are just a moron

I don't know. I think it could be considered an oxymoron when used properly..... so could the term positive attention. Depends on how you view attention....

yeah.... attention is an noun. that can be positive or negative. or even neutral. definitely not an oxymoron.

no, i am more than familiar with the term oxymoron and its definition.

however, negative, in certain contexts, has a much different meaning than people generally realize.

for instance the term "negative reinforcement" has nothing to do with punishment, but reinforcing a behavior through removal of something. this may be either pleasing or displeasing to the person subject to it. whereas "positive reinforcement" does not mean reinforcement by being pleasing, but reinforcement via application.

it was a sort of a joke, you see. a pun. it would seem a lacking one, but not a stupid one.

    Understood.
Last night I was talking with a friend and his girlfriend, and I was telling them that when they meditate (or even pray, really), rather than looking for God or some kind of spiritual state, why not try to locate the source of the sense of self?
Still, it get's more bizarre and illusive. When I should know that there is no such thing as my'self', yet I still continue to try and find it! :cheers2:

i understand what you mean, but most things claimed to be oxymorons in common reference are jokes. "jumbo shrimp" "military intelligence" "microsoft works"

my comment referred to the specific definition of negative meaning to take away, lessen, or remove, as in "negative reinforcement" or "negative numbers" coupled with attention, which would imply applying something

i'm not a moron, i'm just not very funny it would seem:cheers2:

Well I have yet to try one myself, and I also have lost all contacts for opiates. They pretty much come rarely and are gone immediatley around here.
But the red ones are the new 60mg's, they look like cherry candy :cheers2:
