I live on the east coast and i want to brew up some sassafras oil without the hassle.

Could someone give me some pointers on where i can find some sassafras tree.

Most of the land in my area is covered in pine trees or tourist attracion, both of which seem to kill all surrounding plantlife.

What I'm really intrested in is where there grow, I Know they need partial to full sunlight and supposedly grow like weeds but anything eles would be helpful

there are shitloads of S. Albidum and other safrole containing trees in FL. some of them are an invasive species and actually NEED to be cut down.

It is a key precursor for MDMA, the safrole and iso-safrole is what make the whole thing possible(and it smells so GOOD) . you need it to make MDP2P(Wacker's Oxidation Method) . Without that you wouldn't have the means to make MDMA

what? what the hell are you talking about?

no one uses sassafras to make your dirty drugs. i use it to make root beer. :D
    http://forevermore.net/rants/Food-Rants/Root-Beer-Recipe.html

just ask the old timers. root beer tastes like shit now that safrole is listed and can't be used to make it commercially. sassafras was a really important component of the old cherished root beer taste. the 'root' in root beer is S. Albidum root bark.i choose to brew and drink my root beer the original way; with the safrole. :cheers2:

    isn't it in nutmeg?

if all else fails couldn't you just extract it from a bunch of nutmegs or something?

YOU must have seen my other post I didn't know brewing root beer was classified as drug chemistry, but I could see it as a form of alchemy.

the safrole content is not high enough(up to .39%) for proper steam distillation of the essential oil.
where S. Albidum essential oils contains up to 80% safrole!!!

    gross.:p

i was talking about synth. there is some well-known phenethylamine synth that starts with eugenol (probably more than one) but it evades me at the moment. im too lazy to look it up.

Well if i recall it can be used in MDMA synth's as well. i believe rhodium had a section on it as well for some crazy stuff.
