Spermicide and Condoms? And words of encouragement....?

Hey you guys.
My wonderful boyfriend of 7 months and I are getting ready to take the next big step in our relationship- yes... getting it on. hehe!
Its just a problem because I'm frightened to death of getting pregnant. We don't want that to happen... but if it does... so be it. We are probably going to be married within the next two years if we make it out of college alive!
Which somehow brings me to my point-
I bought VCF last night, because it was recommended to me by my friend who has used it with no problem for years. Its a spermicide.
And we have condoms.
Now, I know they make spermicidal condoms, but I was worried about using them both together. I just don't want anything dissolving the condom like some lipsticks or other things would.
Anyone have any insights? Or just some helpful words of encouragement?
I love this guy, and he loves me unconditionally. I think we are ready, but I'm still really scared! I haven't had sex.... for a long time lets just say.
And he's a virgin too, so we're both learning together.

Make sure he wears a condom and everything will be good (no need for spermicides, etc).

Just make sure that you both know how to put a condom on. Squeeze the tip (to get the air out of it) and then roll it down your man's penis. Then have fun!
