Congress's approval rating is only a few points higher.... and we elected them because they promised change. THey promised to get us out of Iraq. Did they? What have they done besides bicker and grandstand? It's great that Bush's number's are so low, but Bush will be out of the White House in two months. At this point, Bush is irrelevant in what is going on right now. anyways.... he has been a complete lame duck since 2006.......... this country's problems are a hell of a lot bigger than Bush.... Bush is just a poorly spoken puppet... who will soon be replaced by another puppet. Every decade or so, America collectively gets tired of a party, and votes another in to office. In 1994, we voted the GOP into control. They did nothing. They fulfilled no promises. So we got tired and demanded whatever the buzzword at the time happened to be. We elected the Dems into power over Congress in 3006. We will do it again in a couple of days. And then 5-10 years from now, America will collectively elect the GOP into control once again, after many more failed promises and no progress from the left. And the cycle repeats.... over and over and over.... and no progress is made- and, although it is said constantly, real change is one thing neither of the two parties will ever deliver. Am I seeing a pattern here???? Helloooo???

What have they done besides bicker and grandstand? Oh christers, another alleged American who hasn't the foggiest notion as to how a law gets passed. Maybe we can add a sticky for these people? Oh, no, I guess not, I'm sure these people couldn't bother to read it. Sorry if my tone sounds harsh, but I'm getting really tired of teaching people Fifth Grade American Government. Please do your Fifth Grade homework, then return and apologize for bothering the grownups while we're talking.
Why would I apologize, Sunlion? Because this is a public forum and I posted something you didn't like? Unless I say or do outside of the forum rules, or if I otherwise do wrong, there is no need for apologies. GW Bush is in fact a lame duck. Has been for a while... and officially, Congress's approval rating is now lower than that of the president. George W Bush is irrelevant. He'll be out of office in a couple of months. While much of what he did was to the unfortunate detriment of our nation, right now, that is not relevant. What is relevant is what is going to replace him. My original post had absolutely NOTHING to do with US Government processes or workings- you rant on my post, yet you rant about what my post WASN'T about in the first place. If anyone is going to teach American Government, it should probably be someone that knows a thing or two about it, right? I'll eat crow if you have a higher college degree in history than I. Until then, I stand by my words. It seems like me mentioning Congress's approval ratings has gotten you guys all riled up... I thought since the topic at hand was pertaining to approval ratings, I'd share another one that nobody was talking about at the time. Let's hope the new Congressmen/women elected will do a better job. Not much to say besides that.
Bush said yesterday "Not finding weapons of mass destruction was a significant disappointment." I feel his pain, but then why did he go with his pre-planned Shock and Awe, when Iraq was crawling with UN arms inspectors and CIA agents, and crisscrossed by spy planes and satellites?
