In immortal words of Chris Rock...." I support Gay Marriage. Why shouldn't gay people have the same right to be as pissed off and undersexed, and miserable as the rest of us?"
My brother and his boyfriend of 8 years recently got married (in Cali, of course) and I couldn't be happier for them. I am Thrilled that my brother found someone to love and be loved by. I also love my now sissa/brother-in-law. They are soon to visit us and we can't wait (plus bro makes big bucks and is very generous. lol). Many of you made excellent points about giving "them" (gad, I hate saying it like that!) equal rights as married opposite sex. Hope that made sense. It is Not anybody's business on this earth to judge what others do - despite what Anita Bryant would have you think.:cheers2:
OK, I just got back from another sub-forum where it was said that Cali has now Banned gay marriage. So, I guess this is a moot point now for those of you judging them. I damn hate this. I realize that the south is Always going to be behind times, etc. but for Cali to do this!....just can't believe it.
Yeah. I made this thread as a joke/play on words a while ago, not thinking about the situation here. I voted against Prop 8 (which was the one to ban gay marriage), and frankly I'm astounded it passed, here in our very own state of California. Very backwards and embarrassing for us. Although it will never directly affect me since I have no desire to marry a man, this and a number of other ballot measures that went in a conservative direction sort of put a damper on the excitement that came with Obama's victory, to think we aren't quite as open-minded and pro-freedom here as I thought we were. I'm still stoked Obama won though.
Rigamarole what have you done...( Chris Griffin...boy oh boy... Being gay isn't a choice *Point 1*. Man wasn't "meant" to do anything *Point 2*. I'm gonna assume here that you're a Christian, Muslim or Jew, and that you take Leviticus almost literally. This thread was originally a joke so you're a buttface for taking this seriously. *Point 3* Humans are sexually evolved to have a certain % homosexual population (*Point 2*). "The species that is abundant will not die out. But the species that cannot control it's numbers will over-populate and over-consume, still dying." That's paraphrasing from Richard Dawkins' works. Look him up along with the phrase "sexual evolution". And I don't even want to mention the countless Chinese, American and European studies that have been done to prove the hereditary origin of homosexuality (*Point 1*). Stop poking your straight nose into the personal lives of other people(*Point 3*), others that some of your decedents will grow up to be. Respond if you want but that's only word I'll have in this.
The question I have for you is this, is marriage a civil right or is it a privilege bestowed by the government ?
I would like to dispute the OP. Same sex marriage is not gay. It is the opposite of gay. It's the straightening of gay culture. have at you!
It's true. It is a heterosexual patriarchial institution, we would be conforming homosexuals to a heterosexual norm. And I'm all for it, baybeee!
