O.K. This is just a few little slams I wrote. (usually during spanish class) I hope you like them. I may be 13 but I can think for myself. I'd love it if you'd reply to these. (just so you know, I'm not very good with words) Peace and love to all creatures of the universe
Here's my first poem. I wrote it a few weeks ago because I was feeling a bit down in the dumps for a while. I felt better after I wrote this. If your down in the dumps i hope you feel better after you read this. Enjoy! Eternity I lost my body in the sands of time, I got no reason, ain't got no rhyme, Three-thousand years ringin in my head, I was just born, now I'm already dead, Father Time got me running like sand, I am so weak under his mighty hand, Mother Nature must have made a mistake, I'm not to be here, gonna shake the human race, The faith is blind, Why can't it see? But if it saw it may not want to believe, I've gotta break free, I'm running to eternity, I am lost in an a raging storm, I'm just another drop in the flood, Am I just a body filled up with young blood, If life's a coaster, when does it go up? I'm eternally falling, when's it gonna stop? I wanna fly on wings like eagles, But keep on fallin through the skies, Open up your eyes, Gaze into your life, Come aboard with me, Sail through this endless sea, That's how it's ment to be, Come on through the sands of time, Come and live on to your rhyme, Come aboard into eternity,
This is just a stupid little poem I wrote on my way home from school today. My Name My entire life, I've followed the world's ways, All the hours of my days, The world's applause was my reward, But do they know my name? I traveled far and wide, But never tried to hide, The world's wonder followed me, But do they know my name? I fell in a pit, of sorrow and regret, The world's pitty I received, But they didn't know my name. If I follow my own heart, From the very start, The world may turn it's back on me, But my spirit still runs free, I don't care who knows my name, Or worlds will never be the same, My life is not a game, Do you know my name?
your poems are really good, especially as your still so young, keep writing. You will get better and better. I really liked them both though. First one especially so.
READ THIS!!! O.K. this one is kinda different than the others because it's not really my style. The whole story behind it is that my brother is more into the whole Death Metal satanic rock and roll instead of the Peace and Love kind. He wanted to start a band with some of his buds but they didn't have any songs, so he came running to his little sister! (ha ha in your face) I wrote this for him in like 10 min. He thought it was good but he didn't think it was "satanic" enough for him. I'm not a satanic person. I'm anything even CLOSE to that. I thought it was pretty good. What do you think? The Abyss From the Abyss we travel far and wide, In the abyss there is no place you can hide, In the abyss we live by the darkest night, Because from the abyssthere is no source of light, We travel far and wide, And through the raging sea, Onto the furthist shore, Ther is no place that we can be, From the abyss you got no one to miss, Because in the abyss you just get up with the sickness, Travel by the darkest night, Not a star in the sky, Onto the furthest shore, Pray for what's in store, Try to fight the flame, With just your god's name, With war as your friend, It left a scar you can't mend, Darkness is a gift that wasn't given to me, All aboard my ship into the raging sea, Keep your eyes on the shore, No need to fear no more, Cause I am your overlord.
I read an entire book on poetry yesterday. (yes, I did. Don't get used to it.) I was facinated by the fact of the chinese writing style the Haiku. It's such a simple poem with such strict guidlines but with all that it still leaves so much open space for creativity and free thought. So I wrote a few and I hope you guys like them: I walk down a path Of pain and war I cry Where can I find some peace? Bad friends are like foes They both speak behind your back And mess up your mind. God bless my country Bring us out of times of war Please please come save us. Hold onto your friends Hold fast to enemies too Go spread love to all. I may be a child Don't think I'm inferior I'm stronger than that. Brothers and sisters From all corners of the land Hear my peaceful cry.
When some people see the title of this next poem, they automatically regester it as a love song. Well it's not. not entirely. This little rhyme is deticated to and written about a wonderful woman who I've known almost my entire life and who has been my mentor since around 1st grade, Mrs. Sweet. Everyone who has ever met her has agreed that her name was perfect for her. If you wanted to describe her in one word it would be sweet. She was always sweet no matter what. Sadly, she is no longer with us in this life. She passed on a little less than a month ago due to a 12-year-old struggle with breast cancer. If some of the phrases seem a little weird it's because they're little things that Sweet would say like at the start of every conversation she would say "How many of you have had a good day today?" And probably the weirdest to you would be the one that has always been our favorite. Every time she said something like "______ is wrong!" then every in the room would, without fail, stop everything they were doing and yell "R-O-N-G Wrong!!!" I hope you like the poem. I would love some feedback. Enjoy: Dear Sweet Dear Sweet, Have you had a good day today? Dear Sweet, We all wished that you could stay, Because if you could, We knew you would, A single day you wouldn't live without, We all knew that without a doubt, Wasn't a matter of your breathing, We always knew you held joy, Dear Sweet, What a beautiful name, Dear Sweet, Nothing will ever be the same, I you were proved wron, R-O-N-G wrong, You Always still held strong, All your days long, Dear Sweet, Children weep at loosing you, But yet they stand to sing, Your words still echo in laughter, And will last throughout the years, Your name still comforts in tears, In your arms tere are no fears, Dear Sweet we miss you
