Does this happen to anyone else when they get high?

I almost always get closed eye and even open eye hallucinations, sometimes when I get really high I even have a shroom like "breathing" effect on walls and stuff. And when I close my eyes I feel like I'm flying down these multicolored tunnels that I see in my eyes... and yet when my friends smoke (often the same stuff I'm smoking) they don't get any of that, just a stoned feeling. Does anyone else have this reaction? So far, I'm the only person I know of that gets a more psychedelically oriented high.

i never get the shroom-like breathing effects, but it can get pretty psychedelically intense depending on the quality of the weed/how much i smoke. when i'm that high i often get open-eye visuals.

 

i've never done shrooms before so i can't directly compare this "breathing" effect to what i had, but when i first started the ceiling would get closer then further and stuff when i'd look up. and that'd be off like a bowl of mids so that can directly be connected to low tolorance. have you been smoking for awhile?

I heard my friend talk about a hallucinogen weed strain called Placebo, but I'm not sure.

 

hmm are you talking about placebo or Placebo (as in the band). i'd be honored to smoke a strain named after that godly band

 

i have had some crazy hallucinations on marijuana. they are usually like waking-dreams. ill see something in the distance and ill create a short movie in my head about what i see in the distance and then as you get closer i realize what it really was.

I was smoking a lot with my friend pat in highschool, and we were just driving around in his car. I looked up in the distance and i saw a cop car pulled into the apt complex, i SWEAR i saw two cops(one wearing blue and the other in a black police jacket) getting out of the car chasing down this criminal in orange. As we got closer to the scene i all of a sudden went "holy shit" well the cop car was real but what was in front of the car was 3 newspaper boxes one blue, one black, one orange.

i thought i was going insane, it was so awesome.

Sometimes when im cold outside and shtoned I think I pee my pants.

 

Some of the best closed eye visuals ive had have been while high. I used to get them every time when my tolerance was low. I have a higher tolerance now so I dont really get them any more. But i know if I did smoke less, they would come back.

I also get shroom like visual distortions (breathing walls) If I get really really high.
But I dont like to venture into that territory too often because I find it physically and mentally uncomfortable.

 

i used to...i did for a long time and wish i still did. the effects were slightly different than that tho. i've read online that a small percentage of pot smokers get either OEV, CEV, or both. some get them temporarily while others get them every time they smoke.

i was lucky enough to be included in that percentage as well as a few others that i've met. i used to see colored patterns when i shut my eyes and they would scroll down the inside of my eyelids. i would also occasionally see them with my eyes open and they would sometimes turn into things (not to be taken literally.) i would see small images composed of little colored pixels (if that makes sense.) one in particular that i remember is a small red apple with a green worm sticking out of it.

I have also experienced close eye visuals and a general psychedelic feelings. Does not happen to me as often any longer, but I used to experience it nearly every toke.

 

The same thing happens to my friend all the time especially when we smoke dank. He'll end up saying 'thats the highest i've ever been' everytime...
He also has a low tolerance for a lot of stuff so i think that's why people have 'mini-hallucinations'.

if i get paranoid when i smoke and i close my eyes, i usually get a pounding sensation with my eyes. like they cant really stay still when they are closed.

 

yea i get CEVS every time i get high. all i have to do is close my eyes and i can just sit back and watch colors and patterns swirl around in a tunnel towards me

way back when i first started smoking I would get a really odd sensation when I got really high and closed my eyes

the best way to describe it was like on the tv show stargate when they go through the wormholes... i would be sitting there with my eyes closed and feel/see that i was traveling very quickly through a series of tunnels in space. after a short period of traveling through these tunnels i would emerge in an extremely bright area and have a sort of full body vibration with extreme pleasure

after all these years it kind of reminds me of the spins that you get when drinking too much, but way more pleasant and extreme, not really a trip because you can easily control it and just open your eyes, but whatever it was sure was great... too bad smoking has become way more routine and i haven't had such experiences in years

i had a case of something similar about an hour ago- it's intense

 

I've only had a CEV once while high. I was listening to Phish. David Bowie from 1998-07-16 to be exact . But anyway the intro is all spacy and I had a pretty intense visual.

I saw a bunch of green and yellow flashing futuristic looking pyramids. They were hovering above the ground and rotating. It was really cool. I've never had another CEV like this.

 

I get this a lot. Even though I smoke almost daily, my tolerance is lower than my friends' and I'm a smaller than they are, so I usually get a lot higher than they do. I often get small, unmoving patterns on walls or carpets when I'm high, and when I'm just ridiculously high, I'll get moving patters a lot like the visuals on acid.

It is amazing, and I wouldn't trade my weed trips for anything more sane. You are truly lucky if this also happens to you.
