One of my friends who previously had dreads when he was in Cali, said that, sticking your hair in boiling water will help then knot faster?
That was I was thinking I don't see how it would have any other effect normal water would have Unless there was like wax boiling into the water and who wants that. But has anyone tried this at all?
yes probably.. but it would also harm your hair i think.. but you'd better go to a spa orso, or a swimmingpool with hot water
beer is actually good for the hair because of the vitamin b and the natural sugars, but i don't know how well it would do in dreads....
Well, once I spilled boiling water on my stomach and needed skin grafts. The doctor said it was good I didn't get it in my eyes because I would be blind. So, no, I'm not sticking my head anywhere near hot water.
Boiling sounds like a lot of pain. I go by what I've observed with wool ('cause wool and hair seem to behave similarly) and my final rinse is always ice-cold and maybe it's in my head, but I've noticed a tightening difference.
Yeah, The idea didn't sound very good in the first place. Just clarifying though. Thanks for all the replies.
boiling water will definitly kill your hair yea and dead hair will knot faster yes. but your dreads will probebly break (yes dreads can break..., some of my dreads actually broke off! :| ) so my advice, DONT DO IT. hug.
