Man Bites Dog - Belgian Dark Comedy - Criterion Collection

Originally released with the title C'est ArricE Pres de Chez Vous, it is shot in French, but available in English translation. The move is also a part of the Criterion collection and is sick and hilarious in my opinion.

IMDB synopsis "A camera crew follows a serial killer/thief around as he exercises his craft. He expounds on art, music, nature, society, and life as he offs mailmen, pensioners, and random people. Slowly he begins involving the camera crew in his activities, and they begin wondering if what they're doing is such a good idea, particularly when the killer kills a rival and the rival's brother sends a threatening letter."

my synopsis:"a french serial killer hires a production crew to film him in his psychotic exploits. the comically insane main character leads his crew through a perilous journey into the world of the mentally insane and morally depraved. not for the faint of heart this is a brutal mockumentary style low budget film and should really be watched with subtitles in the original french."

so fuckin watch it! its also known as MAN BITES DOG, but the original titles means in english "He's arrived ready for you!"

it was enjoyable film as a fan of dark comedy it was very appealing. unfortunately I could never seem to fit it into my top 25. it was a tiny bit slow for a film if I remember correctly. I mean it should be slow because it was trying to be a documentary but i don' believe it does enough within every frame to qualify. The ended was good but to not to spoil it, it made me sad I would say more but I don't want to spoil it. The title is excellent and so much better than the direct translation because if anything this a film obsessed with what entertains people. that is why it a fake documentary on such an unsavory subject why it shows so much depravity. Because it accuses its audience that this is what entertains them.

It was hilarious when they run into the other camera crew. Child killing scene was long and cruel.
