I recently got a chance to swim with dolphins for my first time at Discovery Cove. I took a trip there since I work with them, and it was probably one of the best trips I've taken. They had a bird aviary with all sorts of exotic birds that come sit on your arm and eat the food from the cup they give you. I also got to pet an armadillo for my first time - pretty neat. The animals were all well cared for and in great habitats.

Here are the pics from my trip

hahaha that's great. The funny thing is, the dolphins at Discovery Cove did tricks as well, and we fed them fish. They only came out on their own though...they weren't forced by the trainers.

I've heard a lot of positive stories about the theraputic effects of swiming with dolphins but also recently I've heard some horror stories so I don't know if it's something I'd want to try.

Well the dolphins at Discovery Cove are all trained and used to interacting with people. You might be thinking of wild dolphins, which are illegal to interact with.
