I was talking to a friend last nite and he passed on some very interesting info. The reason why they won't charge you with a crime if you are found with seeds is very simple. Your defense is that the seeds are hemp. And, there is no way that they can dispute that , without growing the seed and seeing what type of plant it is: hemp or pot. PAX
Um are you sure that seeds are legal in the usa? im probably wrong but I alwyas though seeds were illegal, I guess they dont hold any thc thought. I did find something on google though. Drug Cultivation and Manufacturing - Criminal Law ... controlled substances, such as cannabis seeds and marijuana plants; or 2) to ... and remnants of ...
Q. Are hemp foods legal to import, buy and consume in the United States? A. Yes. The case HIA v DEA established that hemp foods are exempt from control in the Controlled Substances Act. An excellent overview of the case can be found on the Vote Hemp web site on their DEA Hemp Food Rules page. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals opinion invalidating DEA final rules can be downloaded from Vote Hemp here and directly from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals here. yes hemp seeds are legal pax
Really ! so you have never eaten sunflower seeds ? Whole Hemp Seeds Available in sterilized, toasted, roasted and fractionalized (cracked) forms, they are rich in protein, vitamins and minerals. They can be cold-pressed for oil, or hulled to expose the seed meat. Hempseeds are the only edible seeds with gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). PAX
"There is nothing about hemp that is illegal. There are no laws in the US or Canada that make possession of hemp illegal. This includes the sterilized seed, hemp seed oil, hemp seed flour, hemp seed cake, shelled hemp seeds, hemp hearts, hemp clothing, hemp fabrics, hemp fuel or any other product made from INDUSTRIAL HEMP. While industrial hemp and the products made from it are legal, hemp's cousin, marijuana is in fact illegal. There are many strains of hemp that produce little or no THC. There are also strains of Cannibis Sativa that produce high levels of THC. These strains would be considered Marijuana. There is nothing similar between marijuana and hemp. They may as well be different plants as they are grown differently, processed differently, are made from different parts of the plant and have grown so far apart genetically that they are, for all intents and purposes, completely different plants."
*Live* hemp seeds are illegal and considered the same a marijuana. In fact they are the same just diferrent strains of the same plant. Think of it as the diffrense between a toy poodle and a mastiff , look very diferrent, but both dogs.
http://guerrillanews.com/blogs/28441/Hemp_for_Vermont_Bill_Becomes_Law Hemp and marijuana are in the same species of flora. THC, the intoxicating compound in marijuana, exists in hemp but at much lower levels. Vermont’s law classifies hemp as a cannabis sativa plant with less than .2 percent THC. Marijuana generally has a THC content of at least 5 percent. Tremblay, though, said that proving in a criminal court that the marijuana they seized isn’t actually hemp means an expensive and laborious testing protocol that the state’s crime labs are ill-equipped to take on. This is the point that I'm try to make. It's a federal law not a state law. And do you really think they are going to go to all that trouble just for seeds? In my searching on the net, I could not find the penalties that you could face under federal law. Can you post a link? Actually, the plants look identical when growing. PAX
If I was to tell you who and why it would ruin my plans to rule the world .........................LOL LOL PAX
hmm well fuck. my 1st possession charge was for seeds.... and guess what I was found guilty... and I got 9 months of probation. Are you telling me that I could have got away w/ nothing? Those 9 months of probation basically destroyed my life... it set me up for failure... which eventually led to me having to go to morgan county jail for a month and destroying any chance of me graduating my senior year. disappointing...
Well, it must have been your choice to violate your probation, so it can't have been all their fault now, can it?
When I buy weed, I buy buds, not seeds. Get the dank dank and you won't have to worry about seeds anyways.
