Please note what guidelines say: "It's fine to post an occasional interesting link to another website, in the context of a thread's subject, but to only do that or to do it repeatedly is not allowed." Within this context repeated postings or an attempt to dissuade others from using these forums in preference of a new forum would be against the guidelines. But attempts to share are part and parcel of the stated intent of this forum. I suppose to meet with the letter of the rules one would have to direct others to one's profile to see the link...but damn seems to contra-indicate the very name of this sight....when did hippies start sticking to the letter of the law rather than the intent ?
you know...I don't see why to go back and forth and communicate about community another site is necessary. to communicate specifics about your own attempt that might take up too much space here I can understand, but why not just communicate here.....maybe there is a need I do not understand ? Or maybe you Are trying to lure people away from this site...which is definitely against the guidelines.....and maybe you need to clarify your intentions ? and no slight is intended, which is why I ask for clarity. In no way am I trying to lure people away from Hip Forums. I really like this site and check in everyday to see if there is anything of new interest for me. I have a link to the site on my site. I think there is alot of great info here for people to share. I was just excited about havin as many members we are up too and thought people would like to share info on both sites. I'm stoked on the site! I've met lots of interesting people on there already. This site is incredibly general, and is only forums, that site has lots of other elements and is specific to just this topic. Joshua
