Chat Room For Hip Forums UK Chappies

Due top popular demand and the fact that I could set it up for free:

here's a chat room you can all use, just put your username in and don't expect any moderating from me as I'm far too lazy for that!

To keep the chat rooms open you will need the log in window AND the chat room window open, if you close the log in window you also close the chat room.

you'll also need the java plugins (here) working and there are a couple of adverts that pop up as it opens but none after that. Merry Christmas people...

This thread will also become a list of banned people and requests for banning people. If you want a person banned I need a very good reason and their IP address or HIPFORUMS username, Flamers will be banned but if they want to plead back on then they'll be given a few chances.

I have now moved the chat rooms as ParaChat have more features and less adverts, I'll be sticking with them for the forseeable future...

ok, it seems a lot og people want to use the chat rooms but they rarely get in there at the same time, how about people meet in the chat rooms at about 9PM GMT tonight and we can see if it's worth keeping, I'll put a message to the same effect on the chat room page as well.

Anyway, having a meeting time seems to get people in there at the same time so I'll leave it like that. You're all welcome there any time though...

 

There is a much better set of chatrooms here at http://www.yahoo.co.uk Some of the rooms on there are hardly used at all so we could take one of those rooms over. That chatnetwork has got much better features than most other chatrooms, such as photo chatter facility and personal profiles which you can leave photos on. You can also search for your mates on there by typing /seen name. I suggest we use the quarter-deck room on there.

The chatroom on their is shite! No graphics, no personal profiles etc. Users of chatrooms today want graphics, indepth personal profiles, a host of user commands, a way to leave messages for other chatters etc.

You don't need a yahoo email address to access the new yahoo chat. The new yahoo chat is shared with Lycos and is now called worldsbiggestchat. You can also access the chat from here : http://uk.worldsbiggestchat.com

The good thing about it is that it is heavy on graphics with tons of special features and you can create your own room on there. By the way I do go on there quite a lot where I use the same name as here; TreeHouse.

All this harshness on the forum is getting a little depressing. Please, if you've got issues with Treehouse, can you email them or PM them to him. I know he can be a troll, and his views on the war aren't very tasteful, but attacking him on the forum just makes us all look bad....
