my music is essentially garage in the fact that i only have an old 256megRAM desktop. but i think it sounds pretty damn good for fruity loops. this is mostly instrumental and fake guitar based except for 'measurement of motion' which has vocals turn these grooves up loud! http://www.myspace.com/perpetualpotion
Indeed the kids of today should be dancin' to this stuff instead of that crap they're giving in most 'mainstream' discos today.
i'm glad you enjoyed i'm working on a couple albums at the moment but it might be awhile because i'm constantly scrapping the old and working on new stuff
wanna know how that kinda music got there? its originators threw parties all over the place!! its called rave and before it was acclimatised it was pretty fucking underground and liberating. too bad so many hippies seem to know so little about why the stuff they listen to us so great.... because its makers have to struggle outside the mainstream to get it big, raises vitality big time. why don't we counterculturalists get actively involved in some underground activities ourselves anymore? its so easy to just complain on the net, y know?
This music is great. Very trippy and unique. Check out my music. It's not all that psychedelic, but I have a passion for psychedelic music so my influences show through. www.myspace.com/rainydayonmainst
You know what? These recording conditions are similar to those Porcupine Tree's leader used when he began writing and recording for his band (so there's nothing impossible) + the music you make sounds quite unique and very interesting. :hurray:
i'm not familiar with that band but that is still very encouraging. i plan on checking out some of their music.
I suggest the Stupid Dream album which is very nice... Just listen to the song Even Less and you'll have an idea of what kind of music Porcupine Tree used to play in the midst of their career. Nowadays they tend to write harder music because they worked a lot with Opeth and have been influenced by the metal sound which is not bad but is not the real Porcupine Tree sound in my opinion, although the music is still very textured and intelligent.
