So i used to smoke weed several times daily for about 8 months, i quit cold turkey after figuring out that kind of life style is not for me, and it was becoming an addiction. after i quit cold turkey i didnt smoke for about 3-4 monthes, i didnt crave it, i didnt want it. after that i started smoking once every once in a while, and now i smoke like once every two weeks but this week ive been smoking a lot more b/c my ex roomate is down from md.

Now for the part i need some advice with:
what do you guys think?? lol dont discriminate, im just being honest and i would like some help. since im done with my classes till next semester, im really bored and i have a lot of free time on my hands, I LIKE SMOKING. but i feel that if i do it more than once every few days im going to repeat the same misteak twice (become dependant on it and smoke several times a day)...

do you guys think i have a reason to feel this way? if i decide to smoke i would like for me not to feel guilty about it, nor feel like a fiend lol i dont use it like a drug i CRAVE for, i just do it cuz its fun... the only thing im worried about is i wanna not repeat the same mistake twice, i wouldd like to moderate and get everything important that needs to be done, DONE. i dont want to become lazy, and unlike i was in the past ive been doin FINE so far, using weed in moderation, gettin important stuff done and just chillin and enjoyin myself:)

anyways any advice would b appriciated...
    any commets or anything:D

    thanks,
    Hebrewnational

no matter what we say you're going to do it anyways.

it's clear you've already made up your mind just by reading your post.

i hear what your saying for sure.... personally i would find it easier to not smoke at all, then to only smoke now and then. not saying its addictive in the traditional way people consider it, but i know im definitely dependent on it after smoking many many times daily for years and years and years i just don't feel right when i wake up if i don't snap a couple bowls. having to heavily moderate my smoking would be more difficult than quitting entirely, it would be like a tease. and for anyone who says im addicted, im not. i am addicted to nicotine, so i know what addiction does to me, and marijuana doesn't do it. if i don't have a cig i freak out and literally cant function. last time i had to go without bud i didn't freak out and feel like i was loosing my mind, i just really was unsatisfied living SOBER

am i unhappy about it? im kind of indifferent. i know i don't regret smoking or starting, but at the same time im not proud that i have become dependent on it. im also neither ashamed or happy that i prefer to live in a hazy stoned world all the time instead of a sober one, just kind of the way it is for me

let me ask you this, was your life negatively effected because of your previous smoking habits? were you just being way too lazy and had a hard time getting anything done, or did you physically not like being out of it all the time?

i'd just pinpoint what exactly was causing the problems with you smoked a lot, and then figure out a way to make sure not to repeat that particular mistake. if you just became a couch potato then if you decide to start smoking heavily keep a memo book with a to-do list, and don't allow yourself to smoke unless things on said list are completed

if you just didn't like being a zombie all day, well then you shouldn't smoke that much. being a zombie is so much fun though

I personally only smoke at night after work. Sometimes when I am home on a weekend I will start a little early but for the most part I try to wait until at least 4:20pm. I would suggest you fix some kind of rules for yourself, rules that you feel you can keep up with then don't break them. If you break them you tell yourself you have to quit.

That is a decision that you have to make for yourself, my friend.

if you realized it wasn't the right lifestyle for you.. and you think that smoking again is gonna make you the same way, then i wouldn't do it. being high is great, and amazing but it's not for everyone. smoking occasionally would be fine, i'd imagine.. especially since you're done with classes until next semester and you're gonna have free time. just dont get in the mindset that you're gonna be smoking every day.

Yea dude this is a nobrainer. If you don't want the the life style then don't do it. Its not science class. And I know alot of you guys dont like the scientific analysis of shit but I hafta point out that it is proven that you cannot actually be addicted to marijuana. I think you just want to look cool hah Im just plaing :)

If it is seriously interfering with your life (family, friends, school), then maybe you should stop. But it sounds like you're going to do it anyways, but try to keep a casual hobby.

no.. the thing is, as of right now its not interfering with anything, really. in the past however it literally took over my life, it was terrible, and i just dont want to get to the point where i feel like ive repeated miisteak twice.... but when i think about it now i remember smokin ALOT more daily... i probably used to smoke the same amount i smoke in a week now, in one-two days back in the day.....

but i was also wondering about what do u guys think about smokin while in a bad mindset????? or smoking when ur not really in the mood to b high? sometimes i smoke cuz my freinds get together and there like were gonna smoke then drive around n do somethin, so i always figure once im high ill enjoy w/e im doin so it doesnt matter if im in the mood or not... u know?

Yeah I know what you mean. Sometimes I don't really want to smoke, like when I wake up, but when my friends call me I just figure..eh why not.

When it first interferes just stop for awhile. Yeah, you should always be in a good mindset while taking any type of a drug. I truly think that's how abuse starts, when people use it when they feel bad.

Anyways, I always have a bad time when smoke in a bad mood. So I wouldn't do it.

If pot is going to make you change your lifestyle, and if you can see forsee yourself enjoying pot a little too much (creating a dependance), my advice would be to not smoke.

To me, pot will never be a dependance, but many of my friends smoke 3 1/2s a day. I think it has a little to do with the way our brains are wired. Some people are prone to becoming "addicts", others aren't.

Moderate if you can. If you're not able to quit smoking too much in a week quit cold turkey again I suppose.

well i know that the only reason it was so hard for me to quit last time is because i used to smoke soooo much every day for 6 monthes straight. i used to be high from 1-2-3-4 p.m. till i go to sleep. then i quit cold turkey and that was hardddd.

but now i just smoked like 4-5 days in a row and now im trying to take a break again to let my tolerance build, im goin to smoke once- twice a week. thats it:)

4real i get so much more baked and have so much more of a good time when i only smoke once or twice a week, thats just me though.

i dont have a problem stopping now really... last night my freinds toked up, i rolled their blunt and stood in their "smoking" circle and i didnt hit it, but we still hung out and it was all good;)

    anyways, thanks for the feedback!
    :cheers2:

If you have alot of free time use it for something else. Don't start smoking everyday, keep it like 1 a month, or every two weeks. be active with other things that have nothing to do with weed. take control now! not later.
