Yeah, I would definitely recommend seeing Last house on the left. Too bad all of Wes Craven's movies weren't modeled after this one.

LOL I love Maximum Overdrive. I use to have the soundtrack.

Exactly what mechanism would a soda machine use to propel cans out the opening?

That movie was sooooo preposterous! Creepy, yeah, but dumb.

I'm not much of a horror kind of guy, but i liked the ring. (The english version, I haven't bothered watching the original, although I want to.) That was quite a cool film, in my opinion.

I have seen alot of great horror films, and usually just get a good adrenaline buzz afterwards. The only two that kept me up at night were "The Ring" and "The Changeling".

I would suggest people see "The Changeling" and not the English version of "The Ring" however. While "Changeling" is eerie and interesting "The Ring" feels like it was meticulously designed by a group of adnormal psychologists to create more potential clients. If there is even a CHANCE it will do to you what it did to me, I wouldn't watch it. Just my two cents.

Rent "Changeling" and "The Wicker Man" this Halloween. You'll thank me:)

i havent really seen a movie that scared me. maybe i need to see more. all the older ones i laugh at, like the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and I love the new one of that. tis so great. anyways, only movies that have freaked me out a little was The Ring the first time I saw it, and vampire movies when I was about 5.

oh i am terrified of clowns, except its only because I read THE BOOK IT. the movie sucked. the book scared me though

The (original )Texas Chainsaw Massacre directed by Tobe Hooper is the scariest movie I've ever seen. The Exorcist is second, Halloween is third, followed by Alien.

My other favorites include, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead (both the original and the re-make) and The Thing (again both the original & the re-make)

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the 2nd one). A dude gets sliced up the crotch while hanging from some kinda of hooky thing. Jeez...
Then again, there are the "older" movies, like Pink Flamingo and snuff movies.
Check out www.somethingweird.com if you want to watch movies that make you throw up all over yourself.

    Hello Prisim,

The last scene in Pink Flamingos was the biggest gross-out ever filmed....and it wasn't fake or scripted......

Pink Flamingos isn't a particularly good movie but it's the ultimate in depravity, and the final scene when a dog some how manages to makes it's way onto the movie set only defecate (and have it eaten) is gross beyond gross.

Me too. Nothing has scared me like that movie ever in my life. I couldn't sleep for like a year after seeing that. The most horrifying scenes I've ever seen. It's such a disgusting movie. If you want to get really scared, watch this movie. And make sure you get the original 1974 version.

The Shining was a good movie, but the ending really annoyed me.
