(Are you that same member that did that other Iceland post? 'Cuz i'd like to thank you ~ i had honestly never thought of Iceland, in any way, until then.)

WHOA!!! Their "dollar" (krona) is worth HALF what it was? That means any consumables are going to cost them twice as much...

What happens if they do succeed in forcing the current gov to resign?

    Cripes.

No i seen another iceland post so i called mine Iceland II lol.

The reason i posted this is because the american dollar is also losing value to the point of no return, and i think americans should take some notes from the icelandic people. The goverment bailed out 3 of their banks and they rioted, did americans?

If the icelanders overthrough their government they can rebuild there economy in an honest way, without the foreign debt and bad economic policies. You see, 10 years ago iceland was where it should be based on their natural economy, then someone decided to lower interest rates and encourage the UK to invest heavily in icelandic assets and currency. Since the collapse the UK has had to spend billions bailing out there people who had invested in iceland...

The moral of the story is: Which country is next?

No, no rioting here. Just a lot of grumbling! ;)

i don't believe that thought has crossed anyone's mind, here, to tell you the truth. We still think you can change things from within.

IF we were going to have any riots, it would be over something happening to Obama, imho.

Iceland is a little ahead of the U.S. in the financial dilemma.

In the U.S. most of the population is still asleep in the nice comfortable rich fat American delusion.

“You can be anything if you work hard”
“It is all the fault of the poor people and terrorists”
“They should just get a job a McDonalds and obey the law”

But the illusion is unraveling fast… 6-12 months?
