I'm not sure what you listen already. hopefully not one of those ipods with like 2 songs per artist..can't stand those. But seriously, full albums are much more rewarding. Here's some you should definitely download and check out-

Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over the Sea (one of my fav ever, hard to classify, but i'd say Fuzz-Folk Psychedelic)
Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antarctica (they have a few great albums, but this is the only one i have)
Dredg - El Cielo (another incredible one, powerful album)
Manic Street Preachers - Holy Bible (not really indie, but check it out if you havent heard it- classic)
Olivia Tremor Control - Music From the Unrealized Film Script (hard to describe, same label as NMH)
Sigor Ros - Ágætis Byrjun (very chill and relaxing Icelandic band)
Pixies - Doolittle (one the single greatest albums of the 90's and ever, must have)

here's some other bands: Mars Volta, Porcupine Tree
if you post what type of stuff you listen to, i could give you similar stuff you might like

I'd recommend that you get your hands on Mansun's second album 'Six'.
You can't go far wrong with that if you want complete mindfuck of an album & the production on it is simply brilliant.

It's an album that showcases 3 guys (yea i know Mansun were a 4 peice but the bass player never played on it) talents & it's bloody brilliant.

    Hope that helps

Pagoda is pretty good. Definitely worth looking at. (especially if you like the Pixies)
Hole's first album Pretty on the Inside is furiously beautiful and unlike anything they ever did again
the Jesus Lizard is great (Goat is considered their best album)
Dead Meadow is heavy metal-ish psychedelic and is really great.
Blonde Redhead is very melodic (at least on their latest CD) and awesome
Noe Venable is one of the best musical artists out there today. Her CD The World is Bound by Secret Knots is mindblowing both musically and lyrically.
The shins are very well-reviewed although I don't know too much about them.
Pissed Jeans is really noisy and atonal but interesting

    ^^^^ NICE!

It's really out there, isn't it? Super Ae also kicks ass... and the Seadrum track on that single before they changed their name to Voredoms or Super Vore or whatever they are now is excellent as well.

Their earlier stuff is noisy and messy and shrill as well... I loved Chocolate Synthesizer, but I let my friend borrow it and when he returned it, he said 'I don't know what that is, but it's not music.' I, on the other hand, completely disagree.

Yea Seadrum, Super AE and Chocolate Synth are all must haves in my opinion!

And of course, Deerhoof is wonderful, especially Milkman and Apple O :cheers2:
