Cops vs. Criminals: Whom do you feel safer around these days?

This is a stupid question. There is no honor among thieves.

 

These days I don't even feel safe around myself!

 

if the criminals dont feel any remorse for what they did then i wouldnt feel safe, but then again the cops around where i live look for trouble or make their own..

 

If the cops in question are behaving in a way you think is unjust wouldn't that make those particular cops criminals?

Technically, I'M a criminal, what with my insane love of grass and all that.....and some dips in the underage drinking pool....but hey.
depends on what crime the criminal's doing, really. as for the cops, well, I've known some really kickass cops- not all of them are horrible people. trust me.
but I've known some cops that should be downright ashamed of themselves. so, it depends on WHICH COP I'll have to be around!

Redundant or not (and depending how you use the word), not everyone thinks like each other. The point to this whole thread is really to make one think about this law we follow. I agree not all cops and what not are bad/corrupt. The concern falls with the one's who are and are ignored. I found a website here online that readily accepts that there are a GOOD handful of bad law enforcement out there and a group of lawyers are willing to go to battle for you in the matter if you are wronged. I'll have to get the site and post it here...

A site and organization dedicated to people who've been done wrong by cops. Also mentioning good cops. I'm just merely saying there are enough bad cops out there to question whether it's safe. A lot of corruption and macho power trips go on and to be concerned about.

I on the other hand agree with the idea that it depends on what type of crime the criminal has fallen under. Not all criminals should be labeled as one.... hahah...just as not all cops should be labeled as a cop either. Some people make mistakes and are forever damned by society for the label they get, some are labeled a criminal because of a nasty cop on a power trip. Some cops are heroed for their roles in society. So just depends on how you feel really and what's happened to you in your life.

Personally I can't trust cops because I've been "labeled" as a criminal for receiving no help among our society's governmental agencies that claim to help people. Thus I broke down and made a hazardous problem/mistake. While being incarcerated, I learned a lot about criminals and cops. I don't want to favor one or the other, but honestly now days, I don't feel safe around anyone because of the things I have seen. Our failure to come together is fucking ridiculous and makes me feel like I'm on a suicidal planet.

Last I checked it didn't say anywhere in the constitution I can't smoke whatever the hell I want.

 

Yeah I came to realize that pretty quickly here.

 

i picked the criminal....just because all of my friends are drug users so society has deemed them "criminals" and i feel much safer around them and their friends than i do around cops. But when it comes to me walking in a dark alley, i would not mind a police officer being near by haha.

 

of course i trust the police more, but i also have more reason to run from them than criminals
