    I love history but you know.. I just think most history is his-story..

    fully. most of what we are taught is recorded by middle to upper class white men- one needs to very much read between the lines.

    don't know how my middle to lower class but still under the poverty line third generation greek-canadian female accent is not coming out through my typing.

    come now! lets keep it in context! I feel that my language changes up a tad by subject. Am not going to sound the same and use the same language talking about clown fetishes as I would talking about the history of gender.

    Yes, because women didn't exist until Susan B. Anthony and the Suffragettes...:rolleyes:

    Actually I don't disagree very much. To tie this altogether, women had equal standing in Celtic society. They held equal position in their class with men. They were warriors, Druids, bards and leaders.

    Middle leg?

    For sure, very true. It even bothers me sometimes how many people think history is an objective thing. It's always subjective. That's why it's rewritten every couple of decades or so (for the last century).

    You know, when I was younger, I absolutely hated history. Now, I'm fascinated by it.
