Well I've been thinking about it a while, and I'm gonna give myself a branding.
And no I'm not talking about bending a paper clip and heating it with a lighter.

I have done research on this.
But I don't know what kind of metal to use.
    Does anyone know?

What do cattle ranchers use? Doesn't sound like fun.

Its strike branding. Not the same as cattle, and I have no idea.
I suppose we have different ideas on what fun is then.

What would you be branding on yourself?

    A circle on my leg.
Something easy to start out with.

Actually it is, unless you're just playing with semantics and trying to give some difference between single and multi strike branding. I mean, Multi strike is basicly just a bunch of single strike brands which eventually make up a picture.

Seriously, you should do more research. I mean if you have yet to find what to use for a branding iron,, how about where not to brand so as to avoid cauterizing any major arteries? (Cooked blood clots dont pump thru the heart so good. )

Most professional branding is down via thermal cautery units.

Most cattle or cheap branding is generally done with iron, although the metal probaly wouldnt matter much at all.
