Hey.... So I was just wandering if anyone here had been diagnosed or knows anyone or thinks they might have borderline personality disorder. I think I may have it, but can't afford to see a therapist right now to look into it. Just thought this would be a place for those with bpd to talk and to gain information.
Yes. I had a girlfreind who was borderline. She was quite chronic, and her body was covered in self-inflicted wounds. It was quite confusing for me, as she really had a bubbly personality. It seems she had suffered much abuse, but instead of taking revenge she internalised the abuse. The 'cutting' was a way of bringing the psychological pain she was suffering onto the physical level without causing apparant harm to others. But it did hurt others when she harmed herself. If you wish to discuss this in private, then you can contact me here : I am qualified in Psychology, (and philosophy) but do not believe in charging people, as I think this dilutes the effect of the advice. The therapist becomes less involved and profit-motivated, as opposed to person-motivated.
Hey, I've actually never heard of BPD but I've suffered from alot of mental disorders. I don't really feel like talking too much about it here so just IM me if you want to chat.
