I hate trying to get the poor dead xmas tree to the dump without scratching up the car so I quit buying xmas trees...unfortunately people see me xmas tree-less and keep bringing by bigger and bigger trees every year. It's like some sort of twisted christmas tree curse. I don't want to have to rent a uhaul just to get rid of the damn things.
That's a good question, since it is rarely consistent. Today was the first day I could say was actually pretty cold since February. Except the day we buried Kaylin...that day was so so cold...and it was July...weird. Anyway, it rarely snows, but if it does, god help the world, because there's a madness at the grocery store and gas stations when there's snow in the forecast, and no one can fucking drive in the snow, not to mention it doesn't snow enough for them to pay for equipment to properly clean the streets when it does snow, so it can get just horrible. I get so scared in snow because our neighborhood is particularly bad in the snow, because we live in a canyon and all the snow piles up out here and traps us in. Aaccckkkk...haaaaaate snow.
You forgot your number one problem in winter ICE RAIN! man from eastern New Mexico to Ohio on I40, I44 and I70 the shit is bad bad bad.
I think I'd like Christmas if it wasn't so chaotic and busy, and if we had kids. It's all about seeing little ones happy and getting excited over baking gingerbread cookies, decorating the tree, opening presents.. that would make me happy and excited too. Oh well, one day..
True. Usually I have a hard time decing what gifts to get... but otherwise it's nice. Our family is no longer as big as it used to be - unfotunately many nice people are gone, but a bad one is gone too... It's good to be happy at this time, regardless of all the commercial crap around...
