still self employed due the fact that where I contract mostly is so understaffed, I should be ok, but I don't know for sure
Self-employed. Currently doing custom millwork in a hotel being built in Waldorf, MD. I love being my own boss. I can work three weeks and then take a month off and hike, sail, whatever. My next project is building some period furniture to be sold at festivals and Renn Faires. I get to work at home.
I consult as an unlicensed therapist very part-time. I am trying to hang in there until we move .I just got screwed out of a 350 dollar mileage check and have constant problems with the office manager who has been given or thinks she has been given too much power. When we move I am going to just focus on grad school and not work so I can become a liscensed therapist. I am going to start being more assertive with my mileage and not take far away clients (I do in-home/community based/cognitive exposure therapy) if the office bitch keeps screwing me out of mileage. If I get canned my unemployment will be more than I am making now (my highest quarter last year was when I was full-time salaried) Don't get me wrong, I am so greatful for my job when they're not dicking me around.
stay at home mom is like the most important job in the world. you are no longer allowed to call yourself unemplyed. thank you
I still work for Dairy Queen. Back to being the head cook since ours quit. I love it most days, but wish I could get more hours.
Still self employed doing computer work for a handfull of local places here, it makes ends meet and I dont have to deal with the general public.
It's appropriate that I noticed this thread cause my employment status just came up today. Anywho basically up untill a year and a half ago I was in the army, then I met future hubbie, So my being in the army and marraige to him wasn't going to work. So I left but the deal was that since there was no financial requirement for me to work that I wouldn't. But here's the thing, Am i a housewife? cause a lot of people seem to think that implies being a mother and not just a wife. Anywho any thoughts?
i have a job at a pizza place. frankly though i dont not want to go in today. im very tired. but im thankful to have a job
I was a full time "head baker" for a long time. It ate up a lot of money. Now...back to the regularly scheduled thread.
I am unemployed in the sense that i am currently looking /available for part time work, but still haven't got it. Though being a stay at home mom is a huge job.
Graduating student. I'm still on the books for a surveying company, will be starting to work again in January.
