Hi there, Just thought I'd drop in and say a big 'hello' to some like minded people. My mum (who sadly passed away June 2nd, 1996) was one of the original flower children, so I was weaned on poetry and music from the 50s and 60s. There appears to be a significant overlap between Hippy culture (or counter-culture) and Buddhism and I'm really interested to hear from some of you about what you think Buddhism (or the Dharma) is and how it fits into your life? And I'm also interested to know about how people feel the Beat movement was (or is) connected to the Hippy movement. Be happy and well Tripitaka
