I need some advice. I'm sure you all get alot of people like me here. But here's the thing. I need some advice. I don't know how much or what kind though. Here's my story, (I'm sure you hear this stuff alot) I've been in the army for the past five years. Sort of. I went to Iraq and finding out that I didn't like it I went awol. They found me and now I'm getting kicked out (hopefully), and thats what they keep telling me sometime in the next two months. I've been on the road before, I've been out camping in the woods for at least a month at a time before. But I need some advice on where a good place to camp where there is some sustainable wilderness. I don't want to go somewhere and find out that its populated by poisonous ants, or rednecks with shotguns (shiver). But I am trying to find my purpose in my life right now. And seeing how my wife is out of the picture, and my parents are to I don't know what to do. So I'm getting out. Best news of my life. But its like what do i do next? So if any of you can give me some kind of advice, on where some good friendly wilderness is. Or anything like that please reply here or email me at static9yourself@gmail.com thank you. I appreciate your time. Or what I can do to start my life over. Because once I'm out of the military. I pretty much have nothing. I'm freaking out pretty heavily about this.
You're going to run into a negative aspect anywhere. If you truly want to tramp away from civilization, try one of America's long hiking trails. The AT, CDT, PCT or ADT. THey'll keep you busy for 5-12 months one way.
