I know Christmas is still 3 weeks away..But the holidays are starting here next week and you know how crazy and stressful it could get. Anyway, How do you plan on spending it? or How do you spend it usually? I am throwing an early party at home next Sunday then we're all gonna probably go to a 12 hour concert that finishes 6 am..Should be awesome if all goes according to 'plan'.
This Christmas will be the first Christmas I ever spend away from my family and outside Santo Domingo. I just know Im gonna be with John, hopefully Jack too.
So other than what we were fed via news during the whole ordeal with the two countries what is it really like there, countryside and such??
What I like this year is that I will get rid of the family at least the first 2 days of the holiday and have the place all to myself for the party! I should have been going up to the red sea with the family but decided to stay behind.
Next week proper exams start. (really first is my french listening tomorrow) Our GCSE mocks to be precise. They go on for two weeks and then we split up for Christmas holidays. The greatest thing about this is I have a ten hour art exam starting monday!
I'll probably spend Christmas with my family. We'll probably gather at my grandma's place like we do every year.
Probably just with my family here in town I will try my hardest not to go to my girlfriends family's place, because I don't like them
Well...I think Croatia and Bosnia are two different worlds. Everything kinda stopped in Bosnia years ago and everyone's waiting for something to happen. Its really depressing there. Not a lot of people returned, and those who did are old and had no other choice but to return. Umm...The countryside is really beautiful though. And calm and peaceful. But that depends too. Certain villages and areas are completely destroyed and full of minefields. I really like going there every few months or so, but I wouldn't want to live there. As I said, it gets depressing. Like....The old live in their own world and the young just want to leave. The cities used to be multicultural, but every city is now divided in two parts - Bosniak/Croatian, Bosniak/Serbian, Croatian/Serbian...You get the point. And all three nations can't really stand each other, so as long as everyone sticks to their own kind, its all good Thats pretty much it...
Yup. Ummm....Its working out well. I think Croatian Croatians and Bosnian Croats are very different. Different customs, backgrounds, traditions, accents, even cultures. I dunno. Lol.
Do you get comments or stares (you know) from either camps? (Bosnian/Croatian) And I don't mean the kind of comments the guys here on RT throw at ya
Haha ! Yeah, kids can be mean I've been called a filthy immigrant and stuff like that quite a few times. Which is lame...I mean, if you're gonna insult me, at least be creative at it And they made fun of my accent. Which is proper Croatian, by the way. But whateva ! Never had that problem in Bosnia though.
