No one over here really talks about Obama now.. anyway i was wondering.. all those people who live in the states.. do you come across people that you know/in your area that have racist slurs/are openly racist about the new president? I got the impression there was bound to be a lot of racism.. are you aware of it?
i've heard things, but not since the election. BEFORE the elcetion i heard someone say "bush is fucking evil, but now our next president is either going to be a woman or a ******" and also i heard someone's elderly father say things about him being a bad candidate because he's a closet muslim or some ridiculous shit those were the only two instances, though, and both isolated incidents
around here its mainly the fact that he is a democrat. i havent heard a single word pertaining to his race..
Who cares about sporadic openly racist statements_. Habitual, ordinary, everyday racism is all that matters.
I, actually, have come across many people who refer to the President Elect as a "******" (their words, not mine). But, I just assume that's the result of social inbreeding here in the Southern Republic of Texas. "Praise the Lord, and pass the ammunition!"
Here in MD I've heard both extremes. My former boss referred to him as "That ****** terrorist". Fuck that.
I don't think that too many people care about him being a ****** now that he's elected. He doesn't really act like one anyhow, so it's hard to make him the butt of many jokes. But all in all, I don't associate with racist people, so I wouldn't know if they hate him because he's a ****** or not.
