    heya all, I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend a text book or any book for that matter that isnt too.. developed.. one that is for beginners I could say, one that doesnt REQUIRE a course to accompny it for it to make sense....
    SO any texts or things one could read about either psychology or psychiatry??

    the book I'm using in into to Psyc is: Psychology- the brain the person the world. I don't think you'd need a course to get it & I'm sure some college kid is selling it on eBay or a cheap books site.

    I'm taking a general psych. course ('cause it's my major, lol) & I highly recommend this text: "Psychology: Seventh Edition" by David G. Myers (Worth Publishers). This past summer, I easily read most of it. However, my copy was $73 (and it was previously used). Check out amazon.com, ebay, or campusbooks.com.
    Btw, it kicks ass that you're interested in psych. You rock!! :D
