gel capsules take about 20 minutes, generally, to dissolve. that means if a drug takes 30 minutes to kick in if you take it plain, then if you take it in gel capsules then it will be roughly 50 minutes until it kicks in.

if you can stand a little bitterness from leaking pills, poking holes in the pills with sewing needles will make it come on a little more quickly.
