I just downloaded the torrent for LEFT 4 Dead on the PC but i dont know shit all about torrents and everyone on the site i downloaded it from is being a huge dick about it and not giving instructions saying to "figure it out for myslef'... well now i got a whole bunch of files it took me two days to download and i dunno what to do with them so if anyone can help at all it would be appreciated
well.. yea.. figure it out your fuckin self.. lol 2 days to download? your internets blow.. i downloaded like 14gb last night while i slept
actually... i'll help.. though you were a dick to me in another thread.. why stoop to your level.. tell me exactly what files you downloaded
lol, Im guessing its an .iso split up into many different parts. In that case you're gonna have to merge them, then mount them to a virtual drive, then install.
assuming you have downloaded more than just the .torrent files (aka you have torrent software), there are likely 2 free programs you need: 1) WinRAR. it can read/make zip, rar, bz, tar, etc files. standard winZIP cannot read .rar, which most torrents include 2) ElaborateBytes Virtual Clone Drive. this will mount an iso (or other image type) file, so you do not need to burn it to a disk.
Download isobuster and open the iso files with that (called mounting), then extract them. If I could see the files we were talking about I could help you a lot better.
Well let me elaborate i didnt really give enough info. Left 4 Dead is a steam game and it must be run through steam. I have something like a steam crack id imagine i put in the steam folder and i also got alot of R32 type files whcih is where i run into problemes. I have about 20 of them and im not sure what to do with them. im also not sure what folder to put the crack in the main one or in a sub folder. I have used .iso files before so those are no porblem for me, this torrent is just diff cuz its a steam game
dude get winrar then open one of the many files then extract the file inside. Only need to do it from 1 of the many files
or whether or not they are 100% clean.. where to place them is easy.. its 99% of the time in the folder with the program exe
i use Jzip and Utorrent...i managed to figure it out myself...after a while haha... i just clicked things and moved folders until something worked, pretty vague and shit advice i know but it worked for me
Lol thats what i tried earlier but somehow i ended up with my microsoft word folder in the folder with steam game data... that was awkward. But anyway yea il see what i can do tommorow im off to bed
