i was just curious, so i calculated that if one took 165 micrograms of LSD that would be approximately 250 quadrillion (larger than a trillion, which is larger than a billion) molecules. with a half life of about 5 hours (erowid), the last molecule would be out of your system after 12 days. a larger dose (250 ug) would take about 12 and a half days.

i think i have answered an age old question: "How long should I wait between trips?"

if I have it I take it every day until it's gone. That's not how I want to do it but that's how it ends up. addict? or just like it alot?

acid math,...that sounds like fun, even though I hate math.

acid is like food for your soul. after you eat, you need to take a little while to digest things. otherwise your stomach might explode!

hawaii... i expect you will stop this behavior once you become more involved with LSD. but for your own enjoyment, start being senseable soon and you will enjoy it more for longer.

you aren't treating it with respect.

you can't become addicted to LSD.

I've been involved with lsd since the 70s. does that qualify?

fyi...you can become addicted to anything provided you have an addictive personality. It doesn't have to be addictive like coke, nicotene...etc.

I think you have to be an addict to know what it means to be an addict.

well everyone kinda missed my point...i just wanted to show the sheer number of LSD molecules ingested with a "normal" dose.

    it's a LOT!

i didn't want a discussion of how long you should space out doses. but from those calculations, you should wait 12 days or more.

A quadrillion is an unimaginably large number. I try to think just how big that really is, and its absolutely mind boggling to me. I wonder how much volume of space a quadrillion pieces of sand would fill. I bet it would be pretty damn big.

EDIT: HAHA! I just found this page (quadrillion is 10 to the 15th power):

    http://pages.prodigy.net/jhonig/bignum/

On this page, a quadrillion is mentioned as:

I get the feeling a quadrillion sand particles would not actually take up that much space, and acid sure as shit doesn't, maybe the smaller the size of something and the more of it there is the more powerful it is on the mind state, that is why when I go to the beach and I am getting blasted by H2O and sun rays(wonder if you can measure that) and sand beneath me I feel like God is calling to me and saying "hey check it out". That is just my feeling on it.

Why not? A quadrillion is an immensely large number. Grains of sand aren't that small. (actually, they vary considerably is size, so I guess it depends on what size we are talking about). In fact, compared to the size of a molecule of LSD, a grain of sand is enormous!

well i did a similar calculation for a 17 mg dose of 2c-e...that would be 50 quintillion (the next step above quadrillion) molecules, or 200 times the number of LSD molecules. so relatively, that's not a lot of LSD molecules, but we all knew that, LSD is pretty potent.

i wonder how many molecules are in a standard dose of aspirin, or molecules of sugar in a can of soda. i'm sure both blow away the numbers above. (i could figure them out if i felt like it..)

That'd be an interesting one. I'm sure its astronomical.

about 133,706,516,400,000,000,000,000 molecules of glucose in a can of soda.

    thats 133 hexillion 706 quintillion 516 quadrillion 400 trillion...
