LSD, in my experience, has always been somewhat more 'predictable' in where it is going to take you regardless of the intensity of the trip.. Shrooms on the other hand, as well as DMT, can take you to some strange and downright scary places. For me, neither shrooms or DMT are predictable and always remain mysterious. I enjoy a good shroom trip about once a year, whereas I can munch on LSD anytime.. DMT is nice about once or twice a month and the short duration of the trips make it a nice getaway.. Its hard to say which i like better though.. I like both LSD and shrooms for different reasons..
That about sums it up for me as well. On top of that, LSD is more stimulating and analytical while mushrooms are more sedating, intoxicating and dreamy (in a violent ego smashing way). For me.
DMT, on numerous occasions, has smashed my ego to smithereens! When i first began experimenting with DMT extractions, I was smoking it WAYYY to much.. I now have a great respect for it. It is an amazing spiritual tool! The most intense psychedelic experiences I've had so far have been all been from DMT. I sometimes go months without smoking some but on average I'll partake about once or twice a month tops.. I find DMT to be very similar to shrooms..
They are very much alike in my opinion. Though, DMT smoked during a mushroom trip is just... I dunno how to describe it... I love DMT, but its not something I use very often. Its self limiting for me. If I use it too much, it tends to just fill me up with overwhelming anxiety that often just leads to a bad trip with no real gained insights. Plus its just too harsh on my lungs for me to be doing it very often. You ever try a small puff of DMT in the morning to get your day going? This has been discussed several times on bluelight... Its great in my opinion. Tends to fill me with a little extra care and emotion throughout the rest of the day as well as it puts me in sort of a light-trippy-happy state. I also feel like I get a better nights rest that night to (probably all in my head, but I dont care. Its great!) It's almost like a anti depressant for me... even though the initial effects only last a few minutes, there seems to be some longer lasting effects that linger on for the rest of the day.
