A couple weekends ago on a local Classic Rock's Dead Zone on sunday night it was mentioned as if it were going to really happen. I couldn't find anything on it however so I was psyched out.
Warren Haynes was interviewed on the local radio station just before the election, and he mentioned that playing at the inauguration if Obama won was the next thing the Dead had planned
Moksha, which Dead show is it? if it is David Gans' show, I would keep an eye on the ticket outlet sites, or the most likely venue.
the Dead will not be playing at the inauguration. they may play in honor of it, but they will not play it officially.

the dead will be back this spring/summer - They were interviewed for the new relix cover article about tour. There are no dates yet but the boys will be back with warren haynes as lead guitar and jeff chiminetti on keys. I heard the obama benefit was a little rusty so hopeful they can get it together and put on some serious shows.
