I just finished reading a thread called 'the hate list' and alot of people were discussing fat people. People hating them and other ones saying it's genetics --- which got me thinking : I was watching 'Woodstock- the movie' and ' Festival Express' and the audience in the movies I didn't see any fat people. So- have genetics changed that much in the last 40 yrs??? PAX
Why hate a fat person? Just because they decide to live a life that leads to there obesity why is it your problem?
Well then you hate people who complain about self caused problems aka whiners, not fat people. I'm a big dude, well I'm down to 202 from almost 270 so I am losing alot of weight, but I never complained about it and noone ever gave me shit for being fat, Its more of a mindset than just the fact that someone is fat.
^ um, thanks for that ^ I make fun of fat people because I am skinny. I make fun of short people because I'm tall. (but I don't really mean it)
I have an empathy for obese people and I'm that skinny with the fast metabolism, who eats whatever the fuck he wants
I'm fat.. yea so what? if you're hatin your no different than hatin someone whos a jew.. or whos black.. wears glasses.. really.. just grow the fuck up and on that note.. i make fun of other fat people and call other people fat.. cuz if a black dude can call another black dude a ****** and its all good.. then i can do the same in my situation I think it was Louis Anderson who said it "if you're fat you better be funny"
and just because someone is "skinny" doesn't mean they are, by any means, healthy or fit. you can be at a proper weight, as still be very unhealthy and have a high BMI im not big, but im not skinny by any means, has anyone else noticed that a good deal of fat people have freak strength? all my friends who are overweight, even those without physical jobs, are still fucking twice my strength, and I work out i guess carrying around all that fat for so long is like a constant work out? i dont make fun of fat people, if for nothing else, a lot of them could probably snap most skinny people in half. kind of freaks me out, my one friend always like making fun of me by having me hit him as hard as i can in his chest, and then just laughs. son of a bitch also, diets have changed quite a bit, but also think about how many hormones are in food today. women's breasts in america are getting larger due to hormones, it would stand to reason this could possibly add weight to a person but nobody can deny there are certain people, who eat a very healthy diet, who are active, that are still overweight and cant loose it. they have to eat a fraction of what you or i eat, and do twice the activity to stay at their weight. i dont see how its fair to hate them at all although, i do hate those people that are like 600 lbs in a wheelchair and eat like 10,000 calories a day. there is no reason for that, they are just bringing down everyone around them, and ruining their own lives. they are just as bad as fucking crack heads on the corner in my opinion
i fuckin snort calories by the gram... just chop it up like coke yo... yea.. im disgusted by morbidly fat people.. and fat kids.. most disappointed with their parents... its like "why.. why do you let your kids eat like that.. you know how its effecting you.. why let your kids suffer sorta deal".. yea im fat.. but if i had a kid.. i would make damn sure they ate properly and played/exercised
Yea these people are fucking disgusting. Everything about the morbidly obese is revolting, especially when there are people that are eating mud as food (I saw an article about Haitians eating mud cakes). These disgusting fuckers look like jabba the hut and probably smell worse, and if they don't get their daily dose of krispy kreme and KFC they feel as if they are being hard done by.
And like the crackheads I think a good number of them deserve my sympathy. Who saw Super Size Me? Eating is either a very overlooked physical addiction or an underestimated psychological addiction or very probably both. A lot of people see the crackhead and think he should be forced into rehab to save his life, but not many people would look at an obese person and think their family should be able to admit them to some kind of treatment facility. Why is that? It might have been in S.S.M., but I remember seeing a doctor comment that it's becoming publicly acceptable to heckle smokers for the harmful decisions they're making while making fun of a fat person is usually a good way to make yourself seem like an insensitive ass. What's the difference?
And quoteing Jetho Tull Dont want to be a fat man, People would think that I was Just good fun. Would rather be a thin man, I am so glad to go on being one. Too much to carry around with you, No chance of finding a woman who Will love you in the morning and all the night time too. Dont want to be a fat man, Have not the patience to ignore all that. Hate to admit to myself half of my problems Came from being fat. Wont waste my time feeling sorry for him, I seen the other side to being thin. Roll us both down a mountain And Im sure the fat man would win. PAX
i believe its a good balanced combination of both... there are a lot of addictive chemicals in food.. take for instance when a girl is having a bad day "chocolate makes everything better" cocoa has chemicals that boost endorphins and make you feel better.. sugar.. gives you energy makes you crash hard.. so you eat more to keep this temp energy.. sugar is like the coke of food.. if give you a boost but not for long.. then ya need more to go on or end the night.. also not to mention that hard psychological impact of working out.. burning off fat but building muscle at the same time.. therefor it takes a long time to see any progress from working out.... like someone else said about "super human strength".. obviously your body needs to be relatively muscular otherwise you wont be able to carry yourself.. also.. technically its somewhat easier for someone of larger mass to lose weight than someone thats smaller.. fatter people burn almost twice as many calories doing the same exercise as someone or normal size
I just read the book Fat Land by Greg Critser. it was a pretty good summary of why American obesity doubled in the past 30 years. the invention of high fructose corny syrup in 1971 is one of the main reasons-- (which increased the 'shelf life' of almost every food product, is cheaper, yet 6 times sweeter than sugar, and can be made from corn, but can't be properly metabolized in our bodies.) also companies need a way to sell more food to each person (get them to eat more) to increase their profits. which is why they started making portions bigger, increasing prices, and giving everyone the choice to 'supersize' things. I don't know -- it's really fucked up. even my friends who are 95 pounds and eat fast food and tasty cakes all day are pretty gross.. they aren't 'visibly fat' -- it's still disgusting that they eat shit food all the time. and my guy friends too... with their cheesy gordida crunch wraps :toetap05: I duno, diet is sort of important to me
If you hate on a fat person, are you still going to hate on them if they become skinny?... just like if you like a skinny person and they become fat, are you going to hate on them because there fat now? ...
