Is it hard to buy cough syrup if you are under 18?

I have been told that they check for IDs if you are under 18. Is this true and if so is it a rare occurrence or a common one?

 

i believe they're supposed to check IDs, but i've only been asked in one store (it was a CVS, although i went to a different CVS and they didn't ask for ID).

i'd give it a shot- based on my experience, you're most likely going to be able to get away with buying if you're under 18.

 

Cool, I plan on getting it today. Maybe buying a pack of cough drops to make it slightly less suspicious. Normally, I would just go get some weed but I am being drug tested so...

 

i used to go to walgreens when i was under 18 and they always let me buy syrup without carding.

on a further note: does anyone know what would happen if they carded you but you were obviously under 18? i doubt you'd get into any trouble but have to put your stuff back and look kind of dumb.

It's a sad state of affairs when the Drug War has lead to kids drinking cough syrup instead of smoking weed.

And syrup companies putting other drugs in their syrup to make kids sick or die, just so they won't drink it.

I seen a maybe a 7 year old kid buy cough medicine at family dollar.. Then to the cashier was prolly his momma.. I no kid..

 

the drug war hasn't led to anything... all that has happened is i discovered an interesting chemical that just happens to be used in low doses to supress coughs. i consider myself lucky to have access to something like this that's guaranteed and dosed in a way so that i know exactly how much i'm taking. safer than street shit.

and since when does? it's just that kids aren't informed, and get syrups with CPM, guifinasen, acetaminophen, etc. there's nothing that's gonna kill you in a bottle of robitussin max strength syrup.

i agree that the drug war is misguided and just creates more problems than it helps, but there's no need to bash on someone because they decide to use a chemical (LSD, THC, DMT, all drugs are chemical.. so is DXM) that happens to be readily available in cough medicine.

just get past the image, everyone. if i told you i used pure DXM powder, would you feel better? because in cough medicines with only DXM, that's more or less what i'm doing.

Yeah, it takes a little longer to kick in but lasts longer in the long run. I got the whole night.

i sort of want to finish off the rest of my 8 oz. (about 300mg left) tonight, but i can't help but feel that DXM two days in a row is gonna kill something pretty important in my brain.

 

Lol man, it should be fine, just don't make it a habiut. I just downed 500mgs. I had DXM three straight weekends in a row and was fine.

hmm yeah i'll probably end up doing it. i always binge on DXM when i buy it, but after i'm out it's not too hard to wait a while until i get more.

i love the DXM afterglow... never had such a strong day after euphoria with any other drug.

Wow, that was a weird ass trip. It wasn't particularly intense, which might have been the fact this was the one night my Mom decided to stay up all night downstairs. However it was very different than most of my trips.

Highlights:
*Talking to my friend over Xbox Live only to suddenly remember half-way through the conversation he wasn't actually in the room with me.
*Being in a half-awake state wear I would vividly see what seemed like "Trippy Paintings" that i have never seen before.... Man I wish I could paint or draw =(
*My mom coming up stairs and talking to me. I literally felt the entire high rush to my feet and feeling completely normal(Except my feet which felt like clouds for a few minutes) and then having the high slowly crawl back up my body.

Also the after effects have been the strongest ever. It is almost the end of the day after and I am still feeling time distortions, enhanced and slightly slowed down music, "Sharper vision", and mellow body high similar to that of a low dose of Hydrocodone without the slightly confused mindset.
