is there more to reality than meets the eye?

now i'm not asking if you believe in the abrahamic version of god, i'm not asking if you subscribe to any particular religious tradition....but do you believe there is something out there more than we can know through our current understanding of science alone?

can the dreamscape be real and significant? or the universes revealed often to users of psychedelic substances? how about visions, or naturally occuring psychedelic states of very deep meditation? near death experiences, perhaps? have you seen miracles?

basically, the thread title pretty much says it all - do you think theres more to reality than meets the eye?:cheers2:

If there is "more to life" and people have already experienced it.. then it simply becomes "life".

If we don't know what is out there we don't know that there is anything there at all.

Yes there is and because I'm your average friendly omnipotent RTer, I'll give you a clue. It's all in the hats.

 

I think science has only touched the tip of the iceburg when it comes to it's understanding of reality. It's amazing how fast science is changing the way we look at things. I think drug induced states let people look at reality from a different perspective. Also, studying reality and experiencing reality are totally different.

 

The older I get the more I realize that I don't know. Excessive faith in science or religion are means of attempting to limit reality... neither are capable of defining reality as the average human mind is incapable of comprehending it.

I feel exactly the same way. The more I study, the more I realize I'm just a monkey and know very little compared to what's out there.

 

I dont know, I think very little is ok, but I rather not discuss that publicly.
