have you ever had a dream where you heard a sound and woke up only to realize that the sound was based in reality?

Yeah that's happened several time.

 

I've dreamt in an alll white place somethin' like purgatory and the only thing that was goin' on was brass monkey by the beastie boys was playing and I woke up and it was playing on my radio haha It was interesting. I was like 11.

 

Oh yeah...many times.

 

i kept thinking about this dream i had in the past while tripping last night (haha maybe i still am...) where i was aladdin (first movie i saw as a baby) flying through the city with apu on the magic carpet, and then i kept hearing my moms voice.. only to realize that i was running late for school.

have you guys ever become aware of an internal stimulus while dreaming? i remember this happening several times when very young: i would realize i have to go to the bathroom while asleep (unconciously?) and then get up, walk to the toilet, urinate, and the urine comes flushing down into my sheets as i wake up to the horror that i just went to the dream toilet...

 

when I went to h.s. i had an alarm clock and I would have dreams that would encompass the buzzer, i could never remember what I thought it was but it was really annoying.

 

what i think is interesting is that the mind can't differentiate between the "real" world and the dream world. how do we really know we're alive?

 

oh yah.. All the time. Pretty weird way to wake up in the morning actually lol

 

yeah this happens regularly, i remember when i was like 11 at a friends sleepover birthday party someone was stomping around in the morning and i dreamed it was an elephant dancing around. good times.

 

Oh and i dreamed of 9/11 coz it was on the radio while i was sleeping. i woke up in the morning and was like wtf was that a dream? I turned the tv on and was completely stunned.

 

when I was a kid I dreamed I was pissing turns out I really was!

 

when i was younger i after getting really really stoned i decided to lay down in the dark and close my eyes, i guess i was tired. and all the sudden i heard some beat from a white stripes song, and it scared the shit out of me. then i got up. fuckin tripped out bro
