Hippy culture is much like buddism and hinduism in alot of its aspects man. So there are sorta your hippies. But I bet there are a few hippies in india besides you. Ghandi was much like a hippy. maybe he was. maybe if we take down all the religious differences and just focus on the ideals we are all the same.
i bet there are hippies in all the major cities. find an american or british bar... and youll find hippies. if you are in somewhere like rome or paris, those places are full of yuppies and study-abroads (no offense. i was one!) but the more adventurous places (istanbul, cities in the ukraine, etc.) are full of hippies!
Goa is the San Francisco of India. Hippies are widespread in India but they tend to congregate wherever pot grows or cafes serve bhang or hash. Rajasthan is always popular. Go to a government run Bhang shop and take a load off. x
