The one bad thing about glass pipes....

Does anyone know what kind of glass is it thats like almost unbreakable? My friend bought this pipe, and supposedly at the headshop they threw it at the wall to show him it wouldnt break. Then when he brought it over to my house, he had me throw it as hard as I can at my floor and it actually put a dent in my floor. He said it was like, 6 plated pyrex or something.

Me and him used to play catch with it, and it would often fall (sometimes on concrete, but it never ever broke).

 

I had a pipe exactly like that, my first one. It was so hard even when i threw it against the wall it didn't break. Seriously. Dunno the name of the glass but i know you're not making it up.

 

haha, my friends bowl was so sick.

it ended up getting confiscated when he got arrested. He stashed the bowl up the sleeve of his hoody when we got stopped by the cops, they searched him and didn't find anything, but they found a bowl on the other kid we were with. When we got to the station the made him take his hoody off, and when he took it off they shook it and it flew about 10 feet up in the air and then landed on the ground with a loud CLANK, but completely unharmed.

Luckily I didnt have anything on me that day and I didnt get in any trouble.

 

well that was about 1.5 years ago ; i kinda moved on but good to know i coulda replaced it cheaply, damn.

 

I have a metal pipe too. I bought a glass pipe one time I broke it on the same day I got it, I was wasted and drop it. I do not like glass

 

there's no crazy unbreakable glass, pyrex is a brand just like schott duran, they are all just high quality borosilicate glass. Import pipes are often made from low quality glass and not anealed properly so their pretty weak, but a properly made pipe of boro, which is anealed properly will do exactly what you said. in reason of course

 

I cant stand the feel of thick pipes... A nice light blown glass pipe is my fav thing to smoke from

 

My glass pipe is strong. I forgot it in my pants pocket and it went through the wash and dryer. It came out perfectly fine, and I was surprised when I opened the dryer and saw it, and even more surprised that it was still in one piece with no chips out of it.

Yep ... same pipe. Even my furry friends didn't break it.
