Hi everyone My name is Carol (30) and I live in Scotland with my partner John (44) of 10 yrs and our son Damien (aged 4). We are really interested in moving to New Zealand in a year or two and wondering if any of yous out there can give us some advise on where to live jobs and info about school as our boy starts school next year. We also would like to know how hard or easy it is to get into the country. At present i am a full time mum but are planning to return to work next year I have completed a classroom assistant courses at college and have passed my British sign language level 1 and have started level 2 hopefully pass next year. I am looking to work with children or adults with special need and hearing disabilities. Could anyone tell me if there is a demand for this skill in New Zealand. My partner John is a little older and is more worried at present he runs his own handyman company and he has a background of security management, retail management, anyone tell me if there is a need for any of those skills as well Thanks for any replies in advance Carol, John and Damien
Well I don't know if you've visited before or not, but if you've never been here I would suggest coming just to see if you like the place.. But I doubt you would have much of a problem with immigration, I think its reasonably easy, or at least easy compared to other countries. i know parliament wants to pass a new bill to make it more efficient.
My father is from NZL like I said and I would love to move back Would sb. be so nice and send me a private message how I could move back and how life is going in NZL? (prices of houses etc.) Thanks
the housing market went a bit USA for awhile. They're put the min deposit on a loan upto 20% on average...a lot of the non banking financing companies are leaving so prices are steadily dropping...as is the employment rate. The newly appointed center right government is coming out with new financial issues on a daily basis (which were the previous governments fault naturally). The current president is "HAPPY" rather than "experienced" (not my words heeh)
