starting the 22nd...

yeah so the title says it all , people ...
im starting my dreads the 22nd myself and with a little help from my magnificent girlfriend to do the back.

here is my hair lenght
how long was yours when you started?

mine was about 2 1/2 times the length of that, now my dreads come just past my shoulders.

 

Can i see the after my hair was about same size and still is

 

the length is fine, just remember its going to shrink and lose a lot of its original length.

ever thought of going natural?

if i stretched the hair out by my ear it would have been like 14 inches, 35 cm metric at least when i started.

 

Mine was about at least half as short as yours is now and that was almost a year ago. Now my hair is slightly longer than yours except dreaded. It shrunk A LOT so expect to loose lots of length in the first 6-8 months...I assume your backcombing. Don't use any wax.

 

why the 22nd?

 

yup i know it'll shrink about a third or even half ... , but thats alright , it'll let me see them grow for longer

yes im backcombing the 22nd because the 21 i cant and i want to get use to it , and take care of them before christmas break is over. (im in secondary 5 in montreal)

of course im NOT using any wax on my hair .

my hair was about that length, and layered too just like yours.

 

my hair was about to my lip if i pulled down the front. it would reach the top lip. maybe not even touch the top lip almost tho lol

My hair was just a little bit past my ears
The back is just getting down to my shoulders.
