I wonder if it's just me. I've tripped many times. Ever since I first tripped my experience with other substances has changed. I get minor visuals from just about everything mildly psychoactive now..like I'll smoke some green and start seeing trails, dancing letters or enhanced colors.

 

lucky bastard, all i get when i toke are colors that basically simulate staring at a lamp. they arnt very cool, well not like i would have expected visuals to be. When you say dancing letters you mean theyre like, real letters only they look kinda, uhh, playful?

I found I got the enhanced colors and playful letters from Prozac too..which is weird because it dampens the effects of L when you're on both.

I know the breathing and other visual distortions have something to do with over-stimulation of motion-sensitive neurons in the brain..but is there a more detailed explanation somewhere? I just like to understand everything I see, but there doesn't seem to be much research out there on this. I once heard (but am unsure of the source) that people with epilepsy experience similar hallucinations to the ones people on L have.

 

I think once you see the things you see on LSD you tend to notice the "psycoactivity" of other substances more (especially pot) because you know what to look for now.

after the few hundred time ive tripped i noticed that if i have sex..
i mean good sex and achive an orgasm. i see small visuals.
Thats probably the greatest thing in the world

 

Ditto for me, but it fades after time, I mean it went from a day or 2 to fading to like weeks and weeks now.

 

I find this to be true..seeing as before I did anything psychedelic I was expecting to see purple animals jumping around on acid, or something.

but yeah after doing lsd i've smoked marijuana once about 2 weeks after and i have never been that "type" of high. I've been that "quantity" of high, but not that "quality". doors of perception yadda yadda~

 

Funny though...i've been smoking pot daily several times a day since 1978 and haven't seen a change in my pupils...

 

Is that even possible?? Every time I get high, like HIGH my eyes get red and pupils turn into saucers.

 

my pupils are always the normal size when im high, unless of course im on some other drug too.

 

pupil dilations are not needed to have hallucinations..

dilated pupils are a good sign that youll have a stronger visual.. And the melting, jello, streamers will be more present..
the actual seeing something that is not there < your eyes do not need to be dilated for that..

 

i thought we where talking about pupil dilation from smoking weed

 

It's less prominent in some people, but it's a general effect of THC.

 

I've recently wondered whether the perpetual visuals are a symptom of the awakening of the 3rd eye. I read that when the forehead chakra opens, various phenomena occur depending on the person. Some gain a heightened empathic link to others, or perhaps an elevated awareness of one's surroundings and in my case, stunning visions.

The first time I smoked weed at age 12 I began seeing images when I closed my eyes. Later on I would need a certain background to see them, like a diconnected tv screen with the snowstorm pattern. But after taking acid the visuals are vivid and meaningful, seeming to have a divine architect far beyond my own abilities. The visions are not random discarges but rather incremental object lessons all following a common path. It seems nuts, but I will have a series of fragmental visions and then take a voyage with lucy and very comprehensive, vast experiences occur that are based on my pre-trip fragments. After the trip I start to realize the connection and feel that something is trying to tell me something...not unique, privileged information but simple yet overwhelming themes that I sorta knew all along. Sometimes it takes something so intricate and sophisticated to reveal easy, simple truths.

I have impressive closed-eye performances when I'm stonecold sober. Toking really flares them up as well as moderate opiate use. Exercise, sex, chiropractic and anything else that feeds more oxygen to the brain enhances the visuals.

My interpretations of the constant visuals depend on my mood. If I'm in a good place they are brilliant, joyful companions. When I am feeling lousy they annoy and sometimes frighten me. In all cases they are consistently beautiful, symmetric, infinite. Oh well; I did after all take the "red pill!"

ya know the more i think about my answer on the previous post I realize that since I'm alway high on pot why would I see any change other than red? I use visene lr when I need to look straight. I have nothing to compare except when I've taken acid the blue color is almost gone.
