For the past month or two of been battling a minor yet hindering case of Pneumonia. I've used all of the antibiotics the doctors gave me and at this point there telling me its just gonna take time to fully heal. Does anyone know any remedies that could help with this healing process? Pneumonia already ruined my cross country season and with winter track starting tomorrow I'm not looking to repeat that disappointment.

It sounds like your lungs have responded against the recent cold air by producing a response in the form of a mucus insulation.

You may have gulped too much cold air recently and irritated your lung tissues. Smoking or a city environment offers no help either.

They're trying to protect themselves but the drainage is poor.

Don't be gung ho. Give yourself a chance to adjust to winter.

Orange juice, the good stuff, helps too.

Antibiotics provide relief of symptoms in many viral infections, including inflammation, phlegm production, and malaise, because they inhibit white blood cell activity which triggers these natural responses. However, by inhibiting white blood cell production, they lower the body's natural immune response.

Antibiotics are really just pointless, potentially creating mutant pathogenic bacteria (more super bugs) that can seriously affect the health of our whole population.
