Hi. I am new here, this is my first post. So, yes, I am a noob.

If this question is inappropriate, please by all means let me know. Still feeling this out... so... the issue at hand. Take a seat, this may take a second to read.

So, my fiancé and I are trying to have a baby. I've been monitoring my monthly schedule and we, for lack of a better term at the moment, have been going at it like bunnies. Fun, yes, but not giving any results.

Trouble is... I'm not getting my monthly flow anymore. Which is worrying me. Yes, I know I should see a doc, but i dont have health insurance or an extra grand laying around for medical bills.

So, I havent had my flow since Sept. 4th. 2008. Got pregnant. Miscarried. Never had my flow since. Miscarried in October. 2 weeks after we found out I was pregnant. As I mentioned we have been trying for another ever since, but I havent gotten my flow again.... and all the pregnancy tests I've taken have come up negative. Ive had some nausea, but it comes and goes. Dizziness, comes and goes. Cramping, comes and goes... you get the picture.

Anyone have any insight as to what in the world is causing this? Any advice on what to do about it? Besides go see a dr. I am open to natural remedies. Is there anyone out there who has gone through the same thing maybe? Just looking for a sounding board to toss back some ideas on how to fix this as well as for some people to toss in ideas I havent thought of yet. Been doing research and nada so far. Thanks in advance!

You want to have a baby, but you don't medical insurance or money to visit a Dr? Maybe it's, um, not the best time for you to have a baby.

You're seeking medical advice from an online forum. Reread that statement. It's idiotic. My advice is advice you don't want to hear; see a doctor.

I have a friend whose whole families pregnancy tests always came up nagative even when they were pregnant. I do agree with the above statement though. You should have Medical insurance so you can assure that you can bring you baby into the world without any worries. I don't think its a good idea to have a baby without it, there is always a risk that something can go wrong when they are born. Otherwise you should try to start saving up emergancy money just incase something happens.

Wow, i'm so sorry, but i'm going to have to echo the other posters:

    PLEASE go see a doctor.

i've been a nurse, and what you're describing does not sound like something that could be taken care of at home with some remedy.

Also, there are a million things that can go wrong during a pregnancy, from not taking prenatal vitamins to miscarriages, and you're going to want to be able to see a doctor, the same doctor, for your entire term.

    Sorry i couldn't help. :(

I was just looking for a natural remedy for all this. I personally hate doctors, think they are way too quick to medicate, and have been misdiagnosed in the past. I prefer natural ways to solve problems. Holistically. I also dont want to fork out tons of cash for a doctor to have me wait for a few hours so he can look at me for 2 minutes, pull out his prescription pad, and medicate me. When I do get pregnant medical is covered, plus I will go natural anyways. Midwife, not doctor. I would rather not be a number or a paycheck to my doc.

It is not about weather you like the doctors or not. Its about delivering a healthy baby and if you can't make that your main concern then your not ready to have a baby. I'm sorry but its not fair to bring a child into the world when you, yourself are afraid of doctors. Children need proper vaccination and you can't get that with home remedy. If you want to go natural go see a doctor that specializes in natural pregnancies. This is my suggestion, I do think you should see the doctor. There could be something wrong with you that is preventing you from being able to carry for the full term.

I've heard you should wait three months after a miscarriage before you start trying again. Give your body the chance to recover.

I agree with the above posters, AND I studied Holistic health.

Regardless of if you perfer it, your body doesn't and if the last time that you had a period was before you missacarried and you haven't had one since I would suggest that not only do you go see a doctor, you do it QUICKLY. There could be something seriously wrong with your lady parts that is just sitting there like a ticking time bomb.

I also agree that it's very irresponsible not to have medical coverage of some kind before you have a child, so you decide to go natural but theres a issue and you need to have a c-section or something of the like what will you do then? If you don't have a extra grand now to deal with medical bills then it sounds as if your not in the financial position to have children at all.

My friend was pregnant with twins, she miscarried and lost only one. She didn't get her period again. She went to the doctors and found out that she was still carrying one of the twins but it was extremely brain damaged and she had to have a emergency abortion.

Something that you may want to consider while you put the breaks on going to the doctor.

You just have to be trolling Jedite’s Girl. Nobody can possibly be so stupid as to not seek medical attention with what you’ve got going on.

On the outside chance that you're being serious, please get your act together before you get pregnant …. your baby deserves it!

If your worried about forking out cash to a doctor, you might want to wait awhile before having a baby. When you have a baby you are going to be forking out alot of cash, doctors, medicine, shots. That is a MUST,or work on getting some damn good insurance first.

sophie, you should know better:) wiki

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disorder that affects approximately 5% of all women .[1] It occurs amongst all races and nationalities, is the most common hormonal disorder among women of reproductive age, and is a leading cause of infertility.[2][3]
The principal features are weight problems, lack of regular ovulation and/or menstruation, and excessive amounts or effects of androgenic (masculinizing) hormones. The symptoms and severity of the syndrome vary greatly among women. While the causes are unknown, insulin resistance, diabetes, and obesity are all strongly correlated with PCOS.

I don't see why asking a simple question would be such a big idea. Maybe other people were wondering too.

Give her a break. Western medicine isn't always what it's cracked up to be, nor is it the end all be all. There's alternative healthcare, and some of it is underestimated. Let her choose her own brand of healthcare. I'm not saying she should endanger her kid, but she didn't say she's against healthcare, she said she prefers a different kind.

And actually, the mercury in vaccinations has been linked to the rise in Autism. A lot of the things doctors give us aren't good for us.

Does anyone else find it strange that she was totally against going to the doctors and magically when we said that she should go and that she was acting foolish she went? I sense troll. It wouldn't be 20 people online that changed her mind.

I am sorry to hear that you had a miscarriage. Those are hard/rough things to deal with. I seen my mother have 2. And my older sister has had a few herself. It's an emotional drain on a woman. However, you should go and see a doctor rather you have insurance or not. Don't you have a health clinic around where you live. I live in missouri and there are at least 10 within 1 hour from me. And the health clnics here are set up for those that have no medical insurance, and a visit to them is $65 nothing more nothing less. And anyone/everyone can go in and get checked out. The only additional cost they have is when they draw your blood they charge yu another 14 and thats the only rise in prices that there is. I'd say rather you have insurance or not, go in and see a doctor. I know that my older sister found out she had uterus cancer and her symptoms are almost identicl to yours. so id rather see you get looked at than see you find out in a year that something was wrong and you left it unattended because you were worried that you dont have medical insurance.
