I've been using bronners for say....3 weeks now. And no matter what my hair always comes out oily. I just put a squirt in a big cup of water and mix it, and pour it on.. Is this too much, too little or what? Or am I completely dilluting it wrong? Help is much thanked. This grease is bugging me.
Mine did too at first. I had to play with the dilution a bit before I got it right but once I figured it out I was very happy with the results and I am a fan of DrB's fo sho.
So what amount of dillution works best for you? Or does anyone know if Could maybe get a clean rag, and squirt some on that and then rub it all over my scalp and head?
when you say squirt, do you mean you squeeze the bottle? i think it says right on the bottle not to squirt it. try taking actual measurements and see what the results are. try 18-1 and 12-1
Nah not literally squirt. Just like tilt it for a second for some to come out... How does one measure this out...lol. Like, just take it in parts?
I did it 12-1 but it made it major sticky & oily A part is as much as you want, just make sure you use ruffly the same amount for each part
Yeah, that's what I'm feeling right now. Couldn't I just use a very small amount on my hand and lather it around, being as I don't have dreads yet anyways, except for like 3 half formed ones in the back. Going natural...been about a month.
I just use an 8oz cup and just put a film of Bronners across the bottom. Then I fill it up about about 1/3 of the way using the shower and shake it around a bit. I pour half on my head, lather rinse repeat.
That's what I do. I really struggled with getting a right dilution so I add 1 part Bronners to my hair, let the shower hit it then I lather and rinse. I don't have any residue problems at all.
Lol that's just what I did.. And it cleaned everything really good. My hair actually feels really soft and not sticky not.
i had that same problem, where the liquid bronners didnt even seem to be washing my hair and it was hella greasy still, so i switched to dr. bronners bar soap and i just wash my hair with that, cleans like a dream with out leaving your hair feeling greasy, and still knots my hair up
i have one of those little novelty sports cups. i fill that up once with dr. b's and put it in a jug. i fill it again 12 times with hot water and throw that in the jug. i haven't really felt the need to dilute it more, but i do put some other stuff in there. so now i have my stuff made, i hop in the shower, set the jug aside and get my hair wet. then when the hair is nice and wet through and through, i pour a little bit of the jug on my hair and lather and work it for a while, then i poor a little more and repeat until the jug is empty. after i feel i've been thorough enough, i just fill the jug up and poor it over my head a couple of times in case there is any residue i could use in there. after that's done i just rinse, get out of the shower and towel dry. the best thing to use while you are trying to get the right ratios is a liquid measuring cup. they look like jugs, but they are see through, have a lip and should have measurements down the side of them.
same here =D I still keep the liquid around though, because it really is magic soap. It got rid of a really old coffee stain in the rug.
