I think its acquired, I thought it was weird at first too. But now I love it.
It does have somewhat of a nutty taste.
    Did you try the chocolate?

    I tried the vanilla.
Maybe I should try the chocolate. I am not a fan of the choclate soymilk- it tastes like cold hotcocoa(and doesn't heat up the right way when I tried to MAke hot cocoa out of it LOL). Maybe I just have weird taste

I drink all kinds of milk. I can't tell the difference between the varieties of cow milk. And I have had on occasion goat milk and soy milk, both of which I'm also fine with.

Yeah, try it out. It would probably be really good for your baby.

Its kind of expensive though, $3.69 for a quart.
I buy it at Wegmans, but it could be cheaper somewhere else.

I havent had the vanilla, but something about that seems gross to me.
The chocolate is pretty decent in my opinion.

Yeah that's why I wanna try it. I buy Omega 3's supplements, so this would be great. Specially for me that I dont eat fish or basically anything with Omega 3's

I compared the published labels of the hemp milk vs. chocolate soy milk

Carb wise I will stick with soy milk...the vanilla only has 10g and plain has 8g

36g of carbs is a lot for a drink for something that is so natural why sweeten it so much? and with a hi carb sweetener like brown rice syrup...they may as well use corn syrup...

Carb wise I see your point, and I'm not sure why they would sweeten it so much. Maybe its needed to get decent flavor out of hemp products?

There are other benefits to hemp milk though.. the protein is more digestable, it has a more complete and balanced proportion of the essential fatty acids.

Basically it is possible for someone to live entirely off of hemp seed and water. That could be true for soy also, but I'm not sure. I'm also not sure if this is actually true, but Buddhist legend says that Buddha lived entirely off hemp seed for 2-5 years on his path the enlightenment.

It would be a good experiment, but someone else can do it. I like food too much :p

i will use milk for cereal or cooking, or for adding to coffee or tea, but if i'm just drinking a glass i prefer plain silk or 8th continent. unflavored, its sweet enough as is, imo

Skim schmim! Might as well drink water.

I drink this stuff, notice how it is slightly yellow in colour on account of the high levels of nutritional fats.

this is a good topic. i love milk! i use to drink soymilk but i am peri menopause and one time i was having a very bad period and remembered that soy is supposed to do something to your hormones so i drank a big glass of soymilk and all my problems stopped - i mean my period just stopped - and it had been going on for like 2 weeks....
so - i realized that soy really messes with your hormones. and then i started reading on it and it does mimick estrogen somehow - so i'm not sure if it good for me anymore....
this makes me sad btw :(
now i drink 2% cowsmilk instead
anyone tried the almond milk at the store? i'm wondering how it is because almonds go rancid so fast - does this affect the milk?
