Here is my progress. The dreads are definitely getting VERY knotty at the base where there is new hair growth. Some are coming a bit unraveled, but I like that, because the loose hairs will find a more natural home and knot up eventually I no longer due anything to them other than wash and seperate ^_^
lookin good. Did you crochet the ends? Ive been toyin with the idea of crocheting some of the wispy's at the roots. I dunno. Im kind of afraid too!
When my sister first backcombed she crocheted the tips, just like .5 centimeters of the each dread or so.. most of that fell out. Although I don't palmroll or anything, I do have a bad habit of nerviously twisting the tips, which although it has blunted them a bit, I somewhat regret it, as a bit of the whispiness has sort of twisted off from time to time. I'm now a strong supporter of doing nothing to dreads :cheers2:
too cool. the really bright ones, is that bleach or dye or something? whatever it is it looks awesome.
What's the soap or shampoo you are using? Feeling like letting my hair grow again and try it back, but havent found the right thing to use yet. Could you please tell me haha, awesome progress since I've last seen ur pics btw.
I use tea tree Dr. Bonners, mixed with baking soda and water. Sometimes just baking soda, sometimes just bonners. When I remember to and have time I squirt salt water on my hair a few hours before washing.
Hmm ok, this time I'll try bronner diluted like 1 part dr.bro and 20 part water with baking soda... see if it works haha. Even diluted like crazy last time my hair glued together when using bronner, and all soaps did that after this.
They look great! Definitely some inspiration for me on what I have to look forward to. Thanks for sharing.
4 months! Wow I can't believe it...those are some killer dreads for 4 months...mine looked 10x's worse @ that age... Keep doin nothin! Looks like its working! =o)
